Según datos de diversas organizaciones como Barcelona activa, el programa emprendedor XXI de la Caixa, Start up Chile, entre otras organizaciones especializadas en la creación de nuevos emprendimientos, los indices de fracaso de nuevas empresas a nivel mundial son desgarradores.

Pese a que las cifras varían ligeramente en función del país, la media estadística dice que:

8 de cada 10 nuevas PYMES fracasan antes de cumplir los 5 años. Y tan solo 1 de cada 10 consigue sobrevivir más de 10 años.

La verdad es que son datos de lo más desalentadores para cualquier emprendedor o para cualquier PYME que esté introduciéndose en el mercado.

Participé en un seminario sobre comunicación corporativa. El primer orador era un estadounidense, quien pronunció un muy buen discurso sobre los problemas y desafíos de gestionar la comunicación interna en un mundo globalizado.

Todo lo que dijo tenía sentido… para él, su cultura y su país:

• Las empresas no conectan emocionalmente con su personal.
• Nuestras herramientas no son atractivas, no captan la atención.
• Nuestros mensajes internos no pueden competir con el bombardeo de mensajes externos.
• Debemos aprender a ser más “publicistas” y contrarrestar el “efecto paisaje” que provocan nuestras comunicaciones internas.

Giving your brand a face on social media is the best way to be present in your customers’ lives, even when they aren’t specifically interacting with you or your product at that moment. Maintaining active profiles across the major platforms allows you to have an audience who can optin or out of your circle at any time. Just as with  human friends on social media, people expect a few things from you as a brand. In this post I will offer suggestions for how to deal with situations on social media that either don’t go your way, or, conversely, are unexpectedly positive.

Putting your brand’s face out there in the digital world is a smart strategy, but that doesn’t mean that everyone is going to like you all the time. Everyone (companies and individuals) makes honest mistakes. And beyond that, there are people who use social media as a tool to vent frustrations, be they rightly targeted or not. It’s important to have a strategy to deal with these instances so that you don’t see your efforts on social media fold in on themselves.

This is a nice summary of Kotter's 8 Steps for successful change management.


Language is important in leading change, and this version interprets the steps with some new descriptions (to me anyway)

e.g.  "unleash burning ambition" and "lean into the gap"


These might work on your change programme - but use discretion!
