Not completing a business plan can be the difference between success and failure. Having a well thought out plan can lead to the business success.

 

Many think the main purpose for writing a business plan is for the presentation to a bank or financial institution for funding. While this may be the case, the ultimate reason should be to provide a thorough and thought out plan of attack in starting a business. Having a solid plan in place helps aid in a well put together start up analysis and a more favorable outcome over the life of the business. What's funding without a solid foundation to begin with?

 

Writing a business plan will help answer key questions such as who is my target audience? What is my marketing plan? What are my start up expenses as well as the financial projections for the next five years? Knowing this information is vital to a start up and the long term success of the business.
