Medical device companies are feeling the squeeze from  the new tax.  They can offset the cost and maintain staffing levels by looking for cost efficiencies in some suprising places.  One place to start is the cost for a mobile workforce.

In a time when nearly 40% of all employees are mobile, based on the 2012 Runzheimer Total Employee Mobility Benchmarking Survey, the decision from Yahoo to require all employees to report to the office is a bold move.  Yahoo CEO Marrissa Mayer values the connection colleagues make when face-to-face; however, others argue that employees who work from home are more productive and work longer hours. Is this a question of quantity versus quality?  What are your thoughts?

New research suggests that nearly a third of fatal accidents involve fatigued drivers

What is your exposure to the risk of employees driving drowsy during thier off-work hours?  One out of every 25 surveyed admitted to falling asleep behind the wheel at least once in the past month, according to the CDC!  Since nearly a third of fatal accidents involve fatigue, and given the surprising likelihood of drowsy driving, isn't it time to look at new ways to reduce your liability when it comes to your business drivers?
