Is creating a business plan worth the effort? - LancasterOnline

Is creating a business plan worth the effort? - LancasterOnline | Business Support for the CEO | Scoop.it
An effective business plan guides a company, large or small, to help reach its defined goals over a stated period of time.
Michael John Freestone's insight:

In my opinion it is essential if you do it right. Do it wrong and you may as well not even start.

Do you need a Consultant? I would say yes but then I am biased as it is my bread and butter. I use the Business Plan as a central activity in my Business Support for the CE.

Any good Business plan must have a Vision Mission and Value statement. I really enjoy the way that Alex Glassey has created Stratpad: and come up with the concept The Business Soul. Very interesting indeed.

To gain a better understanding of your leadership strengths and weaknesses, take a look at yourself through the eyes of others.

How we see ourselves is often very different from how we appear to others. Actions we believe reflect decisive or confident characteristics may come across as controlling or arrogant while attempts at openness may be perceived as being indecisive or weak.
