It is interesting to see the change in mainstream media over the last two years. 2012 has shown that many have significantly embraced social media. This post gives the breakdown for the top 10s in Facebook and Twitter. The top 3s are:
Top 3 news organizations with the most people following their journalists on Twitter (as of 12/21/12):
CNN: 17,004,673 total followers New York Times: 10,361,924 total followers ABC News: 8,080,255 total followers
Top 3 news organizations on Facebook: CNN: 4,371,614 total likes Fox News: 2,784,338 total likes BBC: 2,635,351 total likes
Top 3 most followed journalists (as of 12/21/12): Anderson Cooper: 3,455,256 Piers Morgan: 3,004,433 Rachel Maddow: 2,434,423
CNN definitely seems to be leading the social media charge

There are so many 2013 predictions, it is a little challenging to decipher which ones to note and consider and which ones… well you know.
As well as living in a world where social has taken it by storm, we are also are living in a world where entrepreneurs have come into their own. This is the reason, I am interested I the predictions listed in this post, namely:
Alternative financing strategies such as crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending sites
Scalable technology- seeking technology as a strategic advantage to scaling successfully
The human capital problem- evaluating the right talent to support your business will continue to be key.
Networking will continue to be very valuable.Entrepreneurs are getting younger- as young as 15!
Social entrepreneurship- the concept of doing well by doing good.
I think these are good points and have made a mental note going forwards.

yesm we cultivate our social knowledge not by stratefies or tech effects in themselves but by focusing on the content which is this case is provided by the curator. If if this seems much like traditional learning is because, in pricipke, they are. The difference has access to more sources of information and be wise in the choice of what is being taught

Some key points are made here from Paypal UK as it relates to mobile retail and cash.
Based on a UK research report, PayPal predicts not only that consumers won’t need cash to go shopping, but they won’t need a wallet at all by 2016. PayPal goes on to say: around 45 million people in the UK use a mobile phone, and 49% of mobile users surveyed use their device to purchase products at least once every three months. But there is still a big demand for in-store purchases too.
It is thought that the uptake of mobile payment technology will increase significantly over the next 4 years. The current thinking is that the lines between the online world and the physical store front high will soon disappear altogether.
Children born today will become the first ‘cashless generation’. It will be completely natural for them to pay by mobile.
I certainly understand the importance of having a mobility however the current technology seems to be a little clunky. So although these numbers are intriguing and have my attention. I am wondering how the transaction will be streamlined.

Got your story radar on? I did not even know what this meant until I read this article by colleague Andrew Nemiccolo and listened to my colleague Shawn Callahan explain it. Basically it is this -- not everything we hear is a story. And plenty of people are confused about this, as I can attest to in my own story work with clients. Shawn offers us an activity that will get us to quickly understand the storied world we live in, and helps us know what a story is and is not. Thans Andrew and Shawn for putting this together! I know I am going to use it with clients. And with myself too so I can continue to develop my story listening skills (those always need attention no matter how long you've been doing this work!). This review was written by Karen Dietz for her curated content on business storytelling atwww.scoop.it/t/just-story-it

Shawn Callahan's four story essentials are worth noting: time, place, dialogue, the unexpected

Absolutely Jeff. They are key essentials. I'm glad Shawn put these together to share with us.
