For many Americans, going to college may be a taste of what life will be like 40 years down the road.
College students spend the same amount of time engaging in work- or education-related activities as Americans 59 years or older, who are beginning to wind down their careers and enter retirement, according to a report by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.
The average full-time college student spends 1.8 hours in class and doing homework each day and 2.3 hours at work, averaging 26 hours of work a week, the report found, using data from the 2003 to 2014 Bureau of Labor Statistics American Time Use Survey. The only age cohort that matches that workload is those 59 or older, who spend 25.3 hours or less a week working.
For comparison, high-school students spend 30.2 hours a week in educational activities or working and Americans between the ages of 23 and 55 spend about 31 to 35 hours a week working.
It will be the first event of its kind, providing opportunities for biotech investors to interact with cutting-edge biomedical mavericks.
Rather than merely slowing how fast we age, RAADFest presenters will describe systemic age reversal induced in laboratory mammals and how these technologies can enable humans to attain comparable benefits. The ultimate reward will be the radical extension of healthy lifespans.
For investors seeking to learn about technologies that could one day reach the scale of the iPhone, attendance at RAADFest is mandatory. Patented age reversal therapeutics could represent the ultimate universal consumer “product.”
Unlike mobile phones, for which people pay out of pocket, validated age reversal therapies will one day likely be paid for by governments, as these treatments will spare Medicare and other government payers massive financial outlays caring for sickly elderly populations.
At RAAD Fest, physician/scientists and hordes of consumers that are eager to access validated aging reversal therapeutics will convene. A roster of 40 speakers will formally present, along with many more that have scientific concepts of how to gain control over biological aging.
While the commercial opportunities could be huge, several non-profit groups are sponsoring RAADFest, to be a catalyst to accelerate biological age reversal technologies into clinical reality within the next several years.
According to Bill Faloon, Co-Founder of the Life Extension Foundation, “This conference could ignite a new Renaissance in thinking by starting to shift societal attitudes about the inevitability of the aging process.”

With VND80 million (US$3,600) between them, three Vietnamese men in the central province of Quang Ngai have constructed three swimming pools of about 300 square meters each.According to Pkdata, Inc., a Georgia-based market research and consulting firm on recreational water, normally an above-ground swimming pool of around 5.8 meters in diameter would cost more than $6,000.But Tran Anh Tuan, an oil refinery engineer, Huynh Duc Linh, a physical education teacher, and Nguyen Van Phuong, a swimming coach, have built three pools with a little over half that money, turning their dream into a reality.“Our main goal is to create safe swimming pools with building costs as low as possible,” Tuan, the brains behind the concept, said. The trio came up with the idea after seeing students in the province drowned to death.
