I scooped this article not because I really like it, but because I want to caution you to avoid writing such articles yourself.  While the article itself is informative and friendly towards life coaching (the author is a life coach) it really fails to deliver the information people are looking for.  When you market your coaching practice, you really need to avoid doing what this article tried to do. You need to avoid selling coaching. People don't really know what coaching is or what its about and for the most part they don't care.  What people care about is results. When someone asks you what you do and you say "Life Coach" and then they ask you "What's a Life Coach?" The temptation is to start giving the kind of information found in this article. It may be informative, but the truth is that the people who need coaching the most and may be willing to pay for it, are not looking for it. They are looking for results. You must lead with the results you deliver, that's what people want to know about. They don't care you are a wieght loss coach, they do care if you can help them loose 20 pounds in 6 weeks.  Lead with results.
