Just as successful professionals and companies share similar traits, so do great content marketing campaigns. They all have four key elements that make up the code for building great content.
Through daily emails, engaging eBooks, and valuable white papers, its content creators churn and burn on important digital and marketing issues of the day.
Explain your product and coach / support your customer
Creating an emotional connection with customers
It’s important to make your customers feel part of a community.
Distribution is critical to a great content marketing campaign across the right channels ensuring that you have identified the answers to these fundamental and imperative questions:
Who are you trying to reach? What do they care about? Where and across what channels do they consume content?
What types of content are best for these users?
How will you distribute it so there is a cohesive user experience across all components of the campaign?
Ultimately, make sure you inform, instruct, inspire, and initiate your customers and you’ll have chain after chain of great content marketing campaigns.
An all in one. It's really an extraordinary item for doing the right things to improve your ranking. If you have a blog with great articles, but not many visitors, apply the ideas in this article, it'll help you for sure. [note mg]

***** This is such a great and timely Scoop by Gladys (who rocks btw) because Google's Panda makes this kind of content curation SO IMPORTANT. Panda loves recent, well-loved content. This outline shows you how to include curation in your mix. Why is that important?
I write about 1,000 words in a morning (and took years to get there), so I can put up something north of 300,000 to 500,000 words a year. NOT ENOUGH by half these days as Amazon approaches a billion (that is with a B) pages in Google and not fast enough either. Curation, with great tools like Scoop.it, provides a greater return.
Content creation creates a 2 to 1 or, if your content goes viral, maybe the occasional 10 to 1 return on your time. Content curation can consistently generate higher returns because:
1. Easy to do MORE of it, so bets are more hedged waiting on analytics to see what is hitting.
2. Once you SEE a bloom such as Pinterest in your curation you can double down with original content, but it is hard to go the other way due to the time commitment it takes to write original content.
Great post-Panda scoop here from Gladys.

***** This well organized and written post is about research papers, but don't let that frighten you away. The truths Jenny learned apply to anything and her "twitter lessons" are right on. If Jenny ever wants to leave academia she can come work for me as an Internet marketer (bit of a come down I realize :). Marty
"In October 2011 I began a project to make all of my 26 articles published in refereed journals available via UCL’s Open Access Repository – “Discovery“. I decided that as well as putting them in the institutional repository, I would write a blog post about each research project, and tweet the papers for download. Would this affect how much my research was read, known, discussed, distributed?"

Today Google+ made an update and changed all the sizes for your profile images. The new art required is broken into three definitions and sizes:
1. Profile picture — larger than before with a minimum upload of 250 pixels X 250 pixels and a recommended format of jpg or png.
2. Cover photo — a large panoramic style photo that goes behind and extends past your profile picture on the right side. This new format ties the images together nicely, making a lot of impact. It can also create a beautiful branded image for you and/or your company. The size is 940 pixels X 180 pixels and the recommended format is either jpg or png.
3. Scrapbook photos — these can either be five individual photos or one large photo cropped into individual squares that are 110 pixels X 110 pixels. The recommended format is jpg, png, or gif.

While Google’s Drive’s feature list is making headlines, one feature many may not be aware of is Drive’s integration with self-publisher Lulu.
Lulu announced integration between the Lulu One-Click Publishing app and the newly released Google Drive on Tuesday — a combination that will allow you to create and collaborate on a project in Google Drive and then publish that project through Lulu with a single click.

There has been a great deal of speculation about Google’s forthcoming penalty for “over-optimized” or “overly SEOed” sites. Please place your tongue in your cheek as you read some thoughts on how to recognize a website has been over optimized.
***** Post Panda new #SEO rules apply. Excellent Scoop and post here on knowing about one of the most dangerous leftovers - over optimization. Easy to be "over optimized" by just following the old rulles a little too much. New rules is let oganic curation set the SERPs not over optimizing even if you are using Google's rules. Marty

Found this excellent BI white paper while writing a press release for Entrinsik's Informer (a massivley cool data agnostic coupling tool I want real, real BAD :). Here is what CGI does so well here:
CGI is a HUGE Canadian IT consulting company (billions in revenue and more than 30K employees), but CGI doesn't walk or talk the same large corporate drivel.
