While data-centric methodologies are imperative to creating “foolproof” content that works, gaming algorithms is a temporary solution to a long-term marketing investment. Learn how to create content people want, rather than content that works.
I love the 70.20.10 rule for content creation:
* 70% of content should be low risk.
* 20% should innovate off of what works inside the 70% or 2nd act of 10%.
* 10% should be high-risk experimentation.
That is a great way to create content like an Internet marketer. IMers know to always push the envelope, but hedge that push too. You don't fire guns into the dark. Instead you marshal your forces to spread the market and then double down where you see opportunity and potential blue oceans (those areas where competition hasn't turned the water red).
