Sustainable development of China's electronic information industry: Green challenges and solutions

Sustainable development of China's electronic information industry: Green challenges and solutions | Business Futures | Scoop.it

China’s electronic information industry has quickly become an essential part of the country's national economy. However, pollution and environmental challenges emerge at different stages throughout the lifecycle of information and communication technology (ICT) products, from their design, development, manufacturing to use and disposal. Evidence shows that little effort has been made to address these challenges and environmental issues have not received much attention from industrial manufacturers or the users of ICT products. This paper discusses and highlights the importance and impacts of current environmental challenges faced by the electronic information industry in China. It proposes the implementation of green ICT as a key strategy to ensure environmentally friendly use of ICT equipment to maintain sustainable development of this industry in the long-term.

Why Mobile Should Be a Top Priority for Direct Marketers #mobileweb | Business Futures | Scoop.it

As marketers, we now know not only demographics and addresses but also psychographics, preferred marketing channels, how consumers behave on different channels, etc. More importantly, we now have access to customers 24/7 through mobile connectivity.

For direct marketers, this presents a huge opportunity. Eighty-seven percent of American adults currently own a cell phone and, at some point in 2013, mobile connected devices are expected to top the world’s population.

Are Business Degree Programs worth the effort?

Are Business Degree Programs worth the effort? | Business Futures | Scoop.it

The economic downturn of 2008 made many business students and graduates wonder what their degrees would be worth. There are fortunately many lucrative opportunities available for those who hold associates, bachelors, and master degrees in a business-related field, and the higher the level of degree, the higher the earning potential for a professional.  And of course, there is always the possibility of starting one's own small business.

Google Begged This Woman To Stay, But She Left To Start Her Own Company

Google Begged This Woman To Stay, But She Left To Start Her Own Company | Business Futures | Scoop.it

Last year, Anastasia Leng decided to leave her secure, cushy job at Google and venture into the land of startups.

Leng spent a little over five years at Google, where she worked as a product marketing manager. Before she left the tech giant to start Makeably, Leng was living in London where she worked as Google's new business development manager.

Google asked her if there was anything they could do to keep her, but there really wasn't. It wasn't about the money, Leng tells us. It was either about striking out or succeeding on her own.

Content Marketing Tools For Startups
I didn't write this post with #Startups in mind, but I could have. Startups wrestle with content marketing. I suggest these content marketing tools for any startup:

* Paper.li

* Scoop.it
* Google Analytics
* Google Adwords
* Google Plus
* Twitter
* A Blog (WordPress)

It is possible to change the world with those seven tools.

The linked post explains how I use Paper.li for everything from spidering the social web to reputation management. If you are a startup and don't know what either of those ideas are, trust me you will and I promise to post more about content marketing for startups soon.

4 Ways Technology Is Transforming Business Strategy

Those who subscribe to the great man theory believe that history’s course is determined by the impact of highly capable individuals.  While many disagree, it’s hard to argue that talented individuals have not played a part.  However, by now it’s clear that intelligence has evolved, partly through the global networks mentioned above. While many still focus on great individuals, in fact, it’s the network not the nodes that create real change.  Teams, not stars.  Platforms, not brands. Movements, not messiahs.

metataggsolutions's curator insight, June 7, 5:01 AM

As days passing, Google’s ranking algorithm becomes more complex and volatile. The days were gone when Google just considered meta tags and backlinks for web page ranking but now it uses at least 200 ranking factors in their algorithm.

Google now considers every corner of on-site and off-site when it comes to rank a website or webpage in search engine.

This infographic definitely helps to get an idea of what should be considered in the website optimization process. Truly great infographic.....

Hello {FIRSTNAME},

Hi {FIRSTNAME}, make mo.ney before you ever PAY?

I'm super excited about writing this to you. This is

by far the best guarantee I have ever seen when it comes

to making mon.ey onl.ine. Please just read this email

and I know you will see that this is the first time you

have ever seen anything like this before.

Ian Herculson has just released a new service called

Smart Subscriber, where he's full on promising you

that if you just 'try it out' that he will in fact make

you money as an affi.liate mar.keter...

... BEFORE you have to pay anything.

Yes I know, that's insanely good, but it's for real

and you can read how he's successfully pulling this off

here:

http://smart.gurumarketer.com?c=60318

Ian is actually backing up this pretty bold claim too

in 3 unheard of ways. Read this...

First of all, you don't have to pay anything up front

to get started. No credit card, no paypal, no nothing.

Just sign up and go. No tricks here, Who does that?

Second, he's giving you enough time to really see for

real that it will work. How much time?

- Not just 7 days

- Not only 14 days

- Not a measly 30 days

- Not even an insane 60 days

You will get a full 90 days; yes 3 freaking months for

nothing where Ian will be making you a constant stream

of commi.ssions without asking for anything back. Tell

me where you've seen that before... no where.

Third and most importantly, Ian is putting his mo.ney

where his mouth is and giving away all commi.ssions that

normally he would make to once and for all prove that he

can make you mon.ey with Smart Subscriber before ever

asking you to pay for his service. Whhaaat!

Think about what was just said {FIRSTNAME}. In short;

Ian is going to give you a no obligations 90 Day Fr.ee

Trial of Smart Subscriber where he will make you mon.ey

through affi.liate comm.issions just to prove his service

is worth paying for!

You cannot lose here {FIRSTNAME}, and I'm sorry to be

so blunt but you would seriously be a complete idiot not

to just try it with that strong of a promise.

Here's where you can go get more information and see

how it all works or get started.

http://smart.gurumarketer.com?c=60318

See you on the inside {FIRSTNAME},

Mohammed Lakhlili

Tim Cook: Apple Has Sold 'Over 13 Million' Apple TVs | Business Futures | Scoop.it

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the company has sold 13 million Apple TVs during an interview Tuesday.

Cook said that for several years Apple was only selling a few hundred thousand of the set-top boxes annually, but has now surpassed 13 million total units — more than 6.5 million of those sold in the past year.

Cook said television continues to be “an area of great interest” for Apple. The company isn’t marketing the Apple TV like it does its other products, so the sales numbers for the device are encouraging.
