An attitude of gratitude is so important. I prefer to use the word contentment versus happiness. Contentment is intrinsic, and happiness can change. For example, you are happy when you buy a new pair of shoes. A few days later, that may have left. A key is in giving. Remember to take care of yourself first, and then you will have something to give. Do notlet yourself burn out, and do not isolate. Giving and connecting with others is a key to your value and significance.

There is a saying to not judge someone until you have walked in their shoes. The decisions we make effect future outcomes. It is not too late to believe in yourself, and get back on your feet. This is a wonderful video of transformation. Do not give up, and do not quit. Remember asking for help is not weakness, it is courageous. A healthy self esteem acknowledges both strengths and limitations. We have all make a misstep. So take one step at a time and be your own best friend.

So, at first it may feel like you are lieing to yourself. Continue to meditate on an affirmation, and it will eventually drop into your heart and become a part of your belief system. This is the good news about growing up and being transformed into who you really are.
