Took me a while to overcome my reluctance to read a document subtitled ‘Deliverable 1.1’ on the front page (yuk), but I’m glad I did so.

The nurse in the iconic kissing sailor photo was, apparently, did not want to be kissed. In this light, the photo does not only show the euphoria of the end of WW but also how limited our political memory is.
