wanderingsalsero's insight:

I'm going to have to investigate this further to see how practical it REALLY is.  It seems like every week there's something else like this that comes out.

One thing that occurs to me thought:  I wonder if it would be possible to use this or tools like it, to create sellable content...some new type of curated content ebook?

Robin Good's curator insight, October 24, 2013 3:44 PM

Nextly is a free web app which allows you to create collections of web pages that can be easily navigated as a tour on any device.

Via the integrated Add Page feature or the accompanying bookmarklet you can add just about any web page to one of your collections, as well as content coming from Twitter, Facebook or RSS feeds and other social media.

A unique characterizing feature of Nextly is that the content of a collection gets pre-loaded when accessed by a user, making the browsing through elements of the collection quite fast.

When browsing through a Nextly collection all original web pages are reproduced as they appear on the web, and are rapidly pre-fecthed to provide a faster loading experience.

My comment: Potentially a valuable content curation tool to organize specific sets of articles and distribute them in a format that is effective ad easy to access. It can be used also as an effective new reader and news discovery tool.

Free to use.

I have no idea when it started but I get the feeling it was just recently (by virtue of the lack of depth in the categories of 'blabs' (which do think is a stupid brand name) on the website.

Why Local SEO Is About to Become Even More Important

Why Local SEO Is About to Become Even More Important | Building a Web Presence | Scoop.it

'Any business can take advantage of local SEO’s benefits. Since Google’s fan-named “Pigeon” update in 2014, the importance of local SEO has grown, leading many entrepreneurs to focus on their strategy despite going years without considering a local tangent to their inbound marketing campaign.

Others, who already practiced regular local optimization strategies, saw the update as an opportunity to increase their efforts even further.

These moves are savvy, because local SEO has risen in importance, but the ride isn’t over yet.

Over the next few years, I anticipate that local SEO will become even more impactful and more useful for businesses'.

I will admit that there was a time when I thought Cheney was kinda cool. But I don't feel that way now. I suspect that nothing really conclusive will ever surface about the government's involvement in 911 but, even if it did, the feds have too much a lock on the normal democratic process for 'we the people' to do anything about it.

GOP rivals smell ‘blood’ in Trump-Kelly feud | Building a Web Presence | Scoop.it
var icx_publication_id = 16633;

.icx-toolbar{padding: 0 0 5px 0;}Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s feud with Megyn Kelly escalated Friday night when he said the Fox News host had “blood coming out of her” at this week’s Republican debate, resulting in swift condemnation from conservatives and some of his competitors in the Republican primary.
The [...]
wanderingsalsero's insight:

More pack-dog tactics very probably coordinated by the liberal establishment. It was totally unnecessary for Kelly to bring that subject up.

Nobody says shit about the trash-talk and low-life slander that comes out of Democrats every day and no reasonable person could possibly believe there is such a thing as a 'war on women' but Kelly is defended for asking such a stupid question and Trump is criticized for defending himself like a real man.

Go figure.

The rest of these Republican dick-heads didn't have the guts to say anything entirely of their own volition to Trump. No.... they had to wait for their little presstitute attack-puppies to attack first before they all decided to chip in.after the fact.

Trump is the only candidate not reading from the NWO playbook and I think this will make his bid even stronger.

I'll tell you what I think might happen. If Trump perseveres and it looks like he's got a chance of either (1) getting the Republican nomination or (2) winning a third-party bid, I won't be surprised to see some of these other Repubs come crawling back to be his VP partner.

Internal Links: How Creating a Web of Links on Your Website Can Boost Your SEO | Building a Web Presence | Scoop.it

One of the on-page SEO strategies that is often successful is the practice of internal linking. That is, the act of hyperlinking to other pages of your website from inside your blogs and content pages. As Moz puts it, “Internal links are most useful for establishing site architecture and spreading link juice.”

As you are most likely aware, keywords are one of the primary ways search engines understand what your website is about. Site architecture and links are a way to tell the search engines which pages are important, based on what is being linked to.
