Love this infographic - walks students (Grade 5 +) through the use of Google search strategies. I've put this up in the classroom so that I can refer to it. With primary school kids, its not really a 'work alone' resource but it is great for using as a reference point to direct their research and search skills.

Melissa Marshall's curator insight, August 26, 8:30 PM

A great infographic to remind kids on how to find precisely what they are looking for. Remember, Google is not a person - do not ask it questions! Instead, use precise keywords and get familiar with the Advanced tools.

How to use parental controls on iPhone and iPad: The ultimate guide - iMore

How to use parental controls on iPhone and iPad: The ultimate guide - iMore | Educational technology , Erate, Broadband and Connectivity | Scoop.it

"Parental Controls, also known as Restrictions, allow you to set what your children can and can't access on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. With Parental Controls, you can lock out Safari, Camera, FaceTime, Siri, AirDrop, CarPlay, the iTunes, iBooks, Podcasts, or App Stores (including in-app purchases), as well as content by age rating, and the ability to make changes to accounts and other app settings. In other words, they're a way to block your child's access to anything and everything you deem inappropriate for them based on their age and sensitivity, and your own best judgement. And they're part of what make Apple devices an ideal computing platform for kids!"

We knew this, didn't we?  Adolescent brain research supports it.

W. Bradley Gooderham's curator insight, Today, 12:36 PM

We often take school schedules as being fixed without questioning why they are as they are and if they meet the needs of our students.   Looking at the needs and natural dispositions of student as the basis for planning can lead to some very interesting innovations in how, where, and when we teach and learn.
