Convenient method of storing and carrying paracord rope - the "paracord grenade"

Convenient method of storing and carrying paracord rope - the "paracord grenade" | Brian's Science and Technology | Scoop.it
Interesting idea – a paracord “grenade”. The cable ties, which allow you to hang the cord from jackets, belts, and backpacks, are the releasable type – press the end and it releases. When the cable tie is removed, the rope releases in 10 foot sections making it convenient to quickly grab a medium length line of rope. Coiling paracord is pretty easy – see the pictures below. http://wildernessarena.com/skills/knots-and-rope/storing-carrying-paracord-rope-paracord-grenade

Gearward's "Compact Survival Cord" rivals 550-paracord in strength and functionality

Gearward's "Compact Survival Cord" rivals 550-paracord in strength and functionality | Brian's Science and Technology | Scoop.it
Survivalists recognize the importance of traditional 550 paracord. It’s strong, compact, easy to work with, and provides all the characteristic benefits of cordage that a survivalist requires to stay alive (hey, if it’s good enough to suspend a parachute, it’s good enough for me). Thus far, there’s been no true alternative to paracord. Today that may have changed as Gearward, a Los Angeles based company that focuses on the development of high performance gear for urban preparedness and outdoor survival, has taken a serious leap forward with their introduction of Compact Survival Cord. http://wildernessarena.com/supplies/commercial-products/gearwards-compact-survival-cord-csc-rivals-550-paracord-in-strength-functionality
