To demonstrate the potential of ultra-fast broadband, Chorus, New Zealand helped 13 New Zealand design students stage an art exhibition in the world's biggest...
The advert that aired on New Zealand TV a couple months ago is one of my favorite adverts I have seen in regards to the connection it had with people within New Zealand and in New York. It was a brilliant idea to create brand interaction and awareness. A competition was created by Chorus for artist to send in their art work and the winner’s art work would be showcased in Times Square in New York. Chorus termed Times Square "the world stage". I personally felt emotional when I watched it and felt a sense of pride and connection to New Zealand. There were three winners and the art showcased on 34 digital billboards at the same time. It must have been magical to have witnessed the imagery. The message to New Zealanders was let’s increase our online activity, connect with the world and grow as a country. The call to action was, ultra-fast broadband delivered by Chorus. This was a well thought through campaign, that took allot of planning and organising. It would have been interesting to know the campaign results.
