Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy? I feel like a dog chasing it’s tail going round, and round, and round … and if that’s what social media is all about then you can count me out.
There are literally dozens of these online recycle bins (blogs, directories, social networks, micro blogs, social bookmarks etc.) that are duping the same content, and the “content curators” excuse this behavior as helping us to be seen.

The theory goes that more people will abandon blogging and other ways of producing content in favour of becoming virtual guides to these sources. Twitter even encourages this sort of behaviour by only providing you 140 characters to provide just a sentence or a link & comment.
Well, quite frankly, this sucks! (there I said it!)
Has nobody ever heard the phrase “too many chiefs and not enough Indians”? Why is pointing at content better than producing it?

i agree with hayden, content curation sucks. the way scoop.it has IMPOSED the scoring system just shows how an utterly commercial & traffic-obsessed thing curation is.
