Top 10 Free Data Visualization Tools

Top 10 Free Data Visualization Tools | Learning | Scoop.it

We all have heard the saying that “a picture is worth a thousand words,” and we use it quite often in our daily lives too, but we never get enough time to sit back and realize that it is 100 percent true.A picture actually has the ability to present an extremely complex and vast idea. A single image thus has a lot of power. Just by looking at a single image we can learn and remember so many things. Anything that is presented in a visual form is automatically more attractive and eye-catching as well as being easier to understand and learn. This Data Visualization is a trick used by many to present their boring information or data in an interesting way. The more visually attractive the data, the more attention it is going to get!

If you are trying to find some nice tools that can help you make your data visually more attractive and beautiful, then you are at the right place as today we are going to present a list of Top 10 Free Data Visualization Tools. So check them all out as all of them are truly amazing in their own ways and pick the ones you like the best!

PhD2Published was the first resource I became involved with post-PhD. I was invited to take over as editor by Dr Charlotte Frost after discussing viva tips with her on twitter. The purpose of the site is to give advice on all aspects of academic publishing to  early-career researchers. As a social scientist, I focused on journal articles, which are the main first step to getting published for people in my discipline. i was responsible for creating and sourcing new content, promoting the site through facebook http://www.facebook.com/phd2published and twitter and dealing with day to day administrative enquiries. I learnt alot through working on the site, not just about publishing but it also enabled me to develop my project management skills.

9 Other Surprising Facts About How Our Brains Work

9 Other Surprising Facts About How Our Brains Work | Learning | Scoop.it

One of the things that surprises the author time and time again is how we think our brains work and how they actually do.

On many occasions the author finds herself convinced that there is a certain way to do things, only to find out that actually that’s the complete wrong way to think about it. For example, she always found it fairly understandable that we can multitask. Well, according to the latest research studies, it’s literally impossible for our brains to handle 2 tasks at the same time.

Recently she came across more of these fascinating experiments and ideas that helped a ton to adjust my workflow towards how our brains actually work (instead of what I thought!).

So here are 10 of the most surprising things our brain does and what we can learn from it.

10 Questions to Ask When Creating a Social-Media Marketing Plan | Learning | Scoop.it
