A brainfriendly resource. Creating an imaginary situation to contextualize the idiom, recording it with a script would make this resource really brainfriendly. One or several sentences examples are necessary to show how the  idioms  are used .

Super Bowl advertising goes epic- with mini-soap operas from Chrysler, Samsung, Anheuser-Busch

Super Bowl advertising goes epic- with mini-soap operas from Chrysler, Samsung, Anheuser-Busch | Brainfriendly, motivating stuff for ESL EFL learners | Scoop.it

The Washington Post

Aulde de Barbuat's insight:

Why are marketing strategies changing ?"

"With 30-second spots going for as much as $4 million and more than 111 million viewers expected to tune in, marketers are constantly looking for ways to make their ads stand out." "It’s increasingly difficult to captivate viewers with short-form plots involving babies, celebrities, sex and humor — unless there’s a compelling story attached."

So,“A lot of advertisers are running "MINI SOAP OPERAS, TEAR-JERKING MINI EPICS, USER-INSPIRED TALES, COMEDY  " that often engage people  in a very emotional way,”

A few, like GoDaddy.com’s ad, criticised for being sexist, "stuck with short, quirky spots with no particular plot. It showed a close up, extended kiss between supermodel Bar Refaeli and a nerdy guy wearing glasses to illustrate GoDaddy’s combo of “sexy” and “smart.”"

Grammar movies

LearnEnglish Grammar movies from the British Council.

Via Derek DeWitt
Aulde de Barbuat's insight:

Brilliant  brainfriendly grammar resource. Motivating, short grammar movies in context with a pause for the students to repeat.. Students could do role playing drills, and them act the dialogue in pairs, record or film themselves with a phone.

Storytelling with pictures and explanations. Besides grammar, enables the students  to practice comprehension, pronunciation,  vocabulary .

Good for flipped classroom , blended learning, but great to use in class to..

Example: a love story:Past simple or present perfect simple or continuous? |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XqP8RL2Nlc&feature=share&list=PLA6AEFFFF35FE8B79

In my opinion, all grammars should be based on these principles. Very few are.
