contempt, defensiveness, criticism and stone walling...definitely the basic mix of " how to ruin a relationship". To keep it alive, we need to AVOID this basic mix. Like a cake though, some flavouring can do wonders. NOT all gifts  come wrapped and in beautiful pink ribbons (or blue!) :)  Some gifts are unwrapped..but they ARE gift..the care, attention, time and energy spent on you, the chances given onto you. They are all gifts..it is time to appreciate and reach out to say "THANK YOU" someone once said to me " Thankyou" and "I love you" are the 2 words you will want to say when you are on death bed. There is no other word stronger than these or mean more than these to convey how you feel about those you love and you care the most. Have you say 'thank you' and 'I love you' to someone today?
