The U.S dollar is acceptable almost anywhere in Bolivia, the boliviano is as long as you have change for the denomination you give them. If you exchange money dont except torn money as it will not be excepted in Bolivia. Bolivianos come in 5, 10,  20, 50, 100 and 200 bills. They also have Boliviano coins.
