Interview

Interview for research paper on body decoration.

Haley Fallat's insight:

I interviewed Justin Schultz for my research paper on Body Decoration.  He has been a tattoo artist at Heavy Hand Tattoo since they opened on October 2, 2010.

When did you start tattooing?

What made you want to start tattooing? Did you have any major influences?

- I always liked tattoos and have always wanted to be a tattoo artist.  Ever since I was15 years old I have been getting tattooed and was always around it.  Two of my major influences were Tony Ciavvaro and Joe Capobianco ( who was a local tattoo artist ).

Are there different types of tattooing?

-There are 4 main types of tattooing: realism, traditional, new school, and black  & grey.

Do you think some people are too strict when dealing with a person with body decoration? For example, certain jobs.

- It's definitely getting better.  There are still certain areas that are really strict about it,  but our area we live in is very acceptance of body decoration.

This article shows that actors with body decoration don't act any better or worse than people without body decoration. It is. Good article to use to show how society deals with body decoration.
Haley Fallat's comment, March 3, 2013 8:34 PM
This article is also very current which is good, because a lot of the articles on body decoration aren't that current.

Angelina Jolie is in two of my articles that I am using. I think she is very important when it comes to how society deals with body decoration.
