And as usually said, failure leads to success.

Sure, not every time.

Yet, I like to read about failures even more than successes because they set things right and it is also a good way for any entrepreneur to get rid - or at least anticipate - of some hurdles.

Never heard of it - must be worth sharing :)

Robin Good's insight:Introducing content curation to someone who doesn't know anything about it is not always an easy task. There are so many different articles, opinions, definitions and recommendations about content curation that it is quite difficult for someone just getting familiar with the topic, to easily find out where to start and what to trust. To help out anyone needing to support the explanation of content curation to others, here are five comprehensive resource collections I have put together over the course of the last year. 1) Content Curation - Definitions a collection of the best and most useful definitions of what content curation is http://bundlr.com/b/content-curation-definition 2) Content Curation - What is it? Video Intros 30+ short video clips that introduce the need, practice and purpose of content curation http://huzzaz.com/collection/content-curation-what-is-it 3) Content Curation Visualized 110+ infographics, visuals, illustrations and diagrams explaining what content curation is www.pinterest.com/robingood/content-curation-visualized/ 4) Content Curation Tools Directory - Tools Directory 100+ of the best content curation tools organized in a directory for immediate access http://contentcuration.zeef.com/ 5) Content Curation Tools Supermap - Tools Collection 600+ content curation, discovery, filtering and publishing tools organized by categories for doing content curation http://bit.ly/ContentCurationToolsSupermap All free to use and share.

* NAME the team (creates a sense of connectedness).
* Create public profiles so teammates can know each other.
* Arm the team (with a clear mission and tools).
* Reward the team (with social THANKS and a little competition).
* Learn from the team (LISTEN very carefully and creation of brand advocate teams is the fastest way to improve branding, marketing (Internet or not) and other important Critical Success Factors).

Wondering what this has to do with Robert Redford's 3 Days of the Condor? Will need to read the post for that nugget :). M

What Changes With Google Hummingbird Are Not The SERP Results But How Google Interprets Your Search

What Changes With Google Hummingbird Are Not The SERP Results But How Google Interprets Your Search | Blogging | Scoop.it
The Hummingbird Google search algorithm isn't about long tail search. It's entirely the opposite. Hummingbird is about taking long-tail, highly unusual and verbose searches, and serving them results as if they were clear short-phrase searches.

Via Robin Good
more...
Robin Good's curator insight, October 12, 2013 11:08 AM

Excellent article by Ammon Johns explaining clearly what the new Google algorithm Hummingbird does and how it really affects the world of search.

Contrary to what has been written by many, Hummingbird changes deeply how Google interprets search queries, especially, long, detailed ones, not the search results directly. This is also why no-one has really seen major changes to web site traffic after Google has introduced the new algo quietly in August.

In simple words, what Google Hummingbird does, in the words of Ammon Johns is: "...making the very concept of many long-tail searches go the same way as referral data.

Google is trying to get away from exact wording to understanding the concepts.

So no matter how verbose or roundabout your search for pizza restaurant in Denver may be, the search it runs is exactly the same as “Denver Pizza Restaurant”, “Pizza Restaurant Denver”, etc."

Read the full article and the examples provided and you will get a good gist of it.

Very interesting. Useful. 8/10
