Here is just one short story about how a man with Mulitple sclerosis, rescued a an older dog from Death Row. The dog shows his love and gratitude by being a faithful service dog.
Consider adopting an older dog or being afoster parent to a dog whose family is in a crisis.
This is Tacks (short for Attacks With Love). He is my son's service dog.
DEATH ROW DOG
Tacks was on Death Row at the dog pound when the future love of his life rescued him. The staff at the animal shelter knew he was so extra loving that they named him "Attacks With Love".
My son had been looking for a dog to train to assist him as his health deteriorated. He had finally been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
After some time stuck in a wheel chair, he was given a break by going through chemo therapy. He was able to walk again. He needed a very special dog to encourage him while he took his careful steps as he learned to walk again.
