Worldwide Retail Ecommerce Sales Will Reach $1.915 Trillion This Year - eMarketer

Worldwide Retail Ecommerce Sales Will Reach $1.915 Trillion This Year - eMarketer | Blogs | Scoop.it

Retail ecommerce sales—which include products and services (barring travel, restaurant and event ticket sales) ordered via the internet over any device—will reach $1.915 trillion in 2016, accounting for 8.7% of total retail spending worldwide. While the pace of growth for overall retail sales is subdued, the digital portion of sales continues to expand rapidly, with a 23.7% growth rate forecast for 2016.

eMarketer expects retail ecommerce sales will increase to $4.058 trillion in 2020, making up 14.6% of total retail spending that year.Asia-Pacific will remain the world’s largest retail ecommerce market throughout the forecast period, with sales expected to top $1 trillion in 2016 and more than double to $2.725 trillion by 2020. The region will also see the fastest rise in retail ecommerce sales, climbing 31.5% this year. Expanding middle classes, greater mobile and internet penetration, growing competition of ecommerce players and improving logistics and infrastructure will all fuel ecommerce growth in the region.

The bulk of retail ecommerce will come from China, where sales are expected to reach $899.09 billion this year, representing almost half (47.0%) of all such sales worldwide. While there is plenty of opportunity for growth, parts of Asia-Pacific are still faced with challenges. In Southeast Asia in particular, ecommerce still represents only a fraction of total retail sales. An underdeveloped digital payments infrastructure and a weak logistics framework have made these markets unprepared to handle high volumes of ecommerce orders and have kept ecommerce at a nascent stage....

Print Maniax Utilizes M-Press Tiger Hybrid

In order to provide the highest quality services to their customers, Print Maniax, an online printing solution company, is leasing the M-Press Tiger Hybrid.

Print Maniax, an online printing solution company based in Ranchos Palos Verdes, combines innovative techniques and the latest production equipment available to provide customers with high-quality printing options for brochures, business cards, posters, banners, vehicle wraps and more. In an effort to keep costs low for customers while still utilizing the most advanced printing technology available, the company leases technology such as the M-Press Tiger High-Volume Hybrid Press from the digital print shop Primary Color.

The M-Press Tiger is a hybrid press that combines digital print technology for four-colored inkjet printing with an in-line silkscreen unit. “The M-Press Tiger is the only hybrid machine in North America to offer an optional in-line screen printing unit that is able to print varnish, spot color, primers or white, silver and gold inks with zero loss in productivity,” said Print Maniax CEO Andrew Voss. “The print area and impressions per hour offered by the M-Press are unlike any other around. Being able to utilize this technology allows us to offer our customers digital printing with unparalleled speed and quality.”

Voss explains that the M-Press has a print area of 62x102 inches and is able to print at 175 impressions per hour. The hybrid press is able to handle a job of almost any size and can print on virtually any substrate that is able to be sheeted and measures between .007 inches and .39 inches in thickness, including 80-pound cover paper stock.

Voss’s company as seen at https://www.printmaniax.com/category/stationery is able to utilize the M-Press for their diverse range of printing options as seen at https://www.printmaniax.com/product/postcard-printing including postcards, posters, banners, vehicle wraps and others, giving his customers a full range of digital printing options. Stop avoiding what scares you.

You need to speak in public, but your knees buckle even before you reach the podium. You want to expand your network, but you’d rather swallow nails than make small talk with strangers. Speaking up in meetings would further your reputation at work, but you’re afraid of saying the wrong thing. Situations like these — ones that are important professionally, but personally terrifying — are, unfortunately, ubiquitous. An easy response to these situations is avoidance. Who wants to feel anxious when you don’t have to?

But the problem, of course, is that these tasks aren’t just unpleasant; they’re also necessary.

As we grow and learn in our jobs and in our careers, we’re constantly faced with situations where we need to adapt our behavior. It’s simply a reality of the world we work in today. And without the skill and courage to take the leap, we can miss out on important opportunities for advancement. How can we as professionals stop building our lives around avoiding these unpleasant, but professionally beneficial, tasks?

What Video Ad Length Is Best on Facebook? - eMarketer | Blogs | Scoop.it

It might be easy to assume that the shorter the video ad, the better the completion rate. But maybe things change when it’s on a social platform. According to Q2 data, video ads that were between 30 and 60 seconds long fared better than those of less than 30 seconds on Facebook.

During Q2 2016, Kinetic Social tracked data based on 2 billion social ad impressions, including ad spending for all ad types on Facebook, across both desktop and mobile channels. Kinetic Social is a programmatic social media platform that delivers paid social ads, and more than 90% of its clients are US-based.

According to the data, almost half (or 44%) of 30- to 60-second video ads on Facebook were viewed to completion. Meanwhile, those that ran 30 seconds or less saw a 26% completion rate. Interestingly, 2-minute or longer video ads had the second-best completion rate of 31%....
