Some exciting news coming out of my alma mater, Emory University. The goal of this research is to "achieve a better prognosis for patients by identifying neuro-degeneration earlier", according to F. DuBois Bowman, PhD, the leader of the grant initiative.

Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research today announced that it is partnering with The Kinetics Foundation to measure the impact of an innovative computer-based device, called the Objective Parkinson's Disease Measurement System (OPDM), and how it might help to better measure specific motor characteristics of Parkinson's disease (PD).
"A nationwide consortium of scientists at 20 institutions, led by a principal faculty member at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute (HSCI), has used stem cells to take a major step toward developing personalized medicine to treat Parkinson’s disease."
