Her name is Green, she is alone in a world that doesn't belong to her. She is a female orang-utan, victim of deforestation and resource exploitation.
This film is an emotional journey with Green's final days. It is a visual ride presenting the treasures of rainforest biodiversity and the devastating impacts of logging and land clearing for palm oil plantations.
The film "Green" is a 48 min long documentary on the Indonesian rainforest, deforestation and orangutan extinction. It is a silent film (without narration) which addresses itself both to the Indonesians and the consumers of wood/paper/palm oil around the world. To make way for money, the forrests that are home to Orangutans, are dissappearing..tragedy and death for our wildlife.
I never forget my initial watching of the extremely moving and informative documentary GREEN but I am also always extremely grateful to be reminded of it when somebody else posts it. I wish everybody in the world could watch it and be equally moved to try to take action before it is too late.
