More than 148,000 items from the U.S. Government Printing Office now discoverable in DPLA

Notable examples of the types of records now available from the GPO include the Federal Budget, laws such as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Federal regulations, and Congressional hearings, reports, and documents. GPO continuously adds records to the CGP which will also be available through DPLA, increasing the discoverability of and access to Federal Government information for the American public.

Class of 2014 - MacArthur Foundation | Beyond the Stacks | Scoop.it

This year's MacArthur fellows include cartoonist and graphic memoirist Alison Bechdel, a civil rights lawyer who focuses on equal rights for GLBTs, and a social psychologist whose work looks at the "ingrained ways that individuals racially code and categorize people." Scientists, writers, historians, mathematicians, a computer scientist, lawyers and a labor organizer were also given awards. Follow the link to read about the entire Class of 2014.
