History repeats itself, as Ruby's whiz kids find themselves lagging behind the same innovation train that once outran Java. Now can we all get back to coding, please?

Stephan Rauh's insight:

This is a short but comprehensive introduction to AngularJS. It's in german language, but there are very few words, so chances are you'll get the gist of it even if you don't speak the language - possible with a little help from google translate (http://translate.google.de/translate?hl=de&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fjoachim.weinbrenner.name%2Fvortrag%2Fhc13%2Fangularjs%2F)

SyntaxHighlighter

SyntaxHighlighter | Beyond Java | Scoop.it
Stephan Rauh's insight:

Are you blogging about programming? If so, you might want to have a look at Alex Gorbatchev's SyntaxHighlighter. It makes it easy to format source code in a beautiful way (well, programmers call it beautiful :)). There's a syntax highlighting WordPress plugin I frequently use on my blog. But you don't need a blog - you can use it in every HTML page. Today, I used it to make my AngularFaces showcase look nicer. It took me merely an hour to get it up and running. Highly recommend!

impress.js is a presentation tool based on the power of CSS3 transforms and transitions in modern browsers and inspired by the idea behind prezi.com.
Stephan Rauh's insight:

There ain't no need to add anything to the title. impress.js does the job of good old powerpoint - and seems to be a lot of fun. Hope the audience isn't distracted by the fance presentation.

TIOBE programming languages index

TIOBE Programming Community Index

Stephan Rauh's insight:

It's hard to estimate the market share of a programming language. TIOBE seems to be one of the more reliable sources. Every month the company updates its programming languages index. However, looking at the figures you should keep in mind they are estimations - based on propositions that probably are biased. Nonetheless TIOBE's index gives you a hint which programming languages are popular today, and which languages are rising stars.
