I Went to iPad School! - Technology In Early Childhood

I Went to iPad School! - Technology In Early Childhood | Better teaching, more learning | Scoop.it
"A co-worker and I attended an iPad conference yesterday. My co-worker called it “iPad School.” I like that term, so I adopted it. There was so much information to soak up! My biggest take away was a greater understanding of all of the ways we can take the ipad to the next level, and use it to create, not just play games. My favorite part of the conference was at the end of the day, when after introducing us to all sorts of student oriented creating apps, the conference leader set us free to spend some time building our own presentation on the ipad. We were able to create our product, and then look at the products that our classmates had created."

How to Save Videos from Mail to Keep Locally on an iPhone & iPad | Better teaching, more learning | Scoop.it
"Want to save that great video someone emailed you, so that you can access it anytime locally on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch? You can, but as many users notice, saving video to iOS device is a bit different than saving photos locally. With video, you can’t just tap and hold to save a movie the same way you would for a picture that is attached to an email (or on the web for that matter). Instead, you have two choices to save a movie attachment from an email directly to an iOS device:"

The ‘Evergreen’ iPad: Why all your apps should fit on one screen | eSchool News | Better teaching, more learning | Scoop.it
"“Leading Change” column, June 2013 edition of eSchool News—In last month’s column, I argued that by integrating tools like the iPad—a device that allows students to explore and create—and constructing a pedagogy that encourages ingenuity, we can nurture a process of learning that crafts innovative, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial minds. Yet, despite the incredible influx of iPads into American schools, this opportunity to transform the learning process is largely being wasted."
