I really, truly love tomatoes! I expect I'll try to grow even more heirloom varieties this next season. It's such an adventure in flavor. Those red things you buy in the grocery store just ain't got no flavor and don't cut it with my taste buds. The older varieties that don't store or transport well have the best flavor. The only way to get them is either through a local grower or by raising them yourself from seed. Heirloom tomato varieties are easy to find through catalogs or even online. So go ahead, start looking around and try growing your own this spring.
