The creator of "aestheticodes" says he hopes to decorate the world with interesting, interactive surfaces.
Digital symbology needs a redesign. Barcodes aren't universal, and QR codes--which are--have never caught on.
Maxine Horn's insight:

The balance to achieve is the minimum size of QR code, aesthetic attributes, branding and what information the code when scanned leads to that is useful to the person scanning it.

 

We know how tricky this is but we'll be following up with aestheticodes.

Electroloom has early designs for a 3-D printer that can make on-demand apparel. And with a new grant for funding, it may be ready to print ready to wear by year's end.
So far, 3-D printed clothing has yet to produce truly wearable products.

A fledgling company called Electroloom wants to expand this sub-market by 3-D printing basics, like T-shirts and sweaters.

 

New (ish) technological advances always brings experiments that sometimes lead to new products and services.

Ouya was a much buzzed about product when it came to the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.

Ghadiali saw "the potential for an open technology to change how gaming works."

It's tough turning potential into actual when you are an innovative start-up breaking new ground against far bigger brands with much deeper pockets.

It would be great to see Ouya complete their road map and turn that potential into a reality.
