Los profesores de inglés, francés o alemán de los centros públicos bilingües de la comunidad autónoma andaluza tendrán la opción de apuntarse a la Escuela de Idiomas para sacarse el C1 de su idioma. La Consejería de Educación ha convocado 1.860 plaza

La Consejería de Educación ha aprobado ocho nuevas secciones para fomentar el bilingüismo en colegios e institutos de Castilla y León

Tras analizar la adjudicación, la preocupación de CSIF estriba en el elevado número de jornadas bilingües, un 18% del total, 369 plazas de las más de dos mil adjudicadas. Este incremento está directamente relacionado con la implantación del Plan de Plurilingüismo de la Consejería. En concreto el 31,4 de las plazas de la especialidad de Primaria son bilingües y el 40,7% de las de Infantil también tienen esta característica.

Instituto Franklin of the Universidad de Alcalá and Comunidad de Madrid are organizing the 4th edition of this international conference, which has established itself as a forum for meeting and analysis in the field of bilingual education in Spain. The subtitle “Contemporary Approaches to Learning and Teaching” refers to the main objective of the Conference: to share and to explore knowledge and methodological trends in the classroom. Furthermore, the Conference intends to assess the implementation of bilingual programs with the aim of introducing new perspectives.

The conference is addressed to all actors involved in bilingual education: teachers from all educational levels, specialists, researchers and other professionals involved with bilingual education.

The NABE Journal of Research and Practice (NJRP) is an edited volume of scholarly publications that serves as an archival record for the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE). It is a peer-reviewed publication that seeks articles that examine research, pedagogy, policies, theory, and cultural issues that impact bilingual education, teaching, and learning. Qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods studies that can contribute to the growing knowledge base on bilingual education models and best practices are especially welcome.  Position papers, and articles focused on applied educational research and research infused classroom practices are also welcome.  The NJRP publishes articles written in either English or Spanish. The Editorial Board will consider clarity and timeliness of the content in judging the quality of the manuscripts.

Format and Style Requirements

• Authors should follow APA (6th edition) guidelines for style, citations and references. Those not following APA style will be returned without being reviewed. 
• Manuscripts should be between 15-25 pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman, size 12” font, and one-inch margins. 
• Submit manuscripts in a “blind” format and include a separate MS Word-doc/x-file with name(s), addresses, telephone numbers, E-Mail addresses and institutional affiliations of author(s).
• Include a brief abstract of no more than 150 words describing the essence of the manuscript.
• Authors should send manuscripts as an E-Mail attachment, MS-Word-doc/X-file type to:  tinajero@utep.edu, virginia.vinuesa@ebspain.es with cc to cmerazpantoja@miners.utep.edu  by the deadline. 
• It is the author’(s) responsibility to ensure that reviewers’ comments are addressed and that any stylistic and grammatical errors are corrected prior to publication.
• Papers accepted for publication in the NJRP become the copyright of the National Association for Bilingual Education.
