11 Tips for Managing iPads in the Classroom - TECHCHEF

11 Tips for Managing iPads in the Classroom - TECHCHEF | Bees iPads | Scoop.it

"I am starting to see the light… and somewhat emerging from the fog of iPad enrollment and technical logistics. After a full weekend of ACL (yes, the TechChef does find time to enjoy in the Austin music scene), I spent half a day with Randolph ISD sharing some timely tips for managing iPads in the classroom. As I am never one to hoard resources and I imagine that there our other teachers and districts that might benefit from some tried and true management techniques, I thought I would crank out a blog to share these with the greater edusphere."

A Great iPad Manual for Every Teacher ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

A Great iPad Manual for Every Teacher ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Bees iPads | Scoop.it

"A few weeks ago I posted here a poster on iPad basics which many of you have downloaded to use with their students in the class. Today, I am sharing with you another great resource on iPad. This is not a graphic but a quick reference card on everything you and your students need to know about iPad. From the hardware to networking features , this little manual can serve as a leading guide to a better manipulation of  your iPad.
I am not sure how much iPading you are doing in your classroom but whether you use iPad just occasionally or you adopt it as a consistent learning and teaching tool,  the reference card below will definitely give you a hand in improving your iPad use. I suggest that you share it with your students and go through it with them section by section and make sure they understand it before they start using their iPads again.

Ten Reflections on the First Year of an iPad Pilot

Ten Reflections on the First Year of an iPad Pilot | Bees iPads | Scoop.it

Passing out iPads to students on the first day of school was like celebrating Christmas (or in this case Hanukkah)  with thirty antsy kids sitting around the tree,  attempting to hide their impatience.  Once the iPads had been handed out, students were instantly excited, engaged and enchanted with the new learning device in their hands. At first, everyone was confused about where to find work, where to save and store their products – and which app to use for what purpose. As with every pilot, these issues worked themselves out and soon classes were running pretty smoothly. Once they all learned what a “hard reset” was we were on our way. After an exciting year chalked full of learning lessons and changes in our learning landscape here are my takeaways:'

Genial! Coincideixo amb tot, menys el punt 6. Disposar de Mac seia genial però no ho veig imprescindible, si més no a la nostra escola hem pogut desenvolupar un bon flux i creació de continguts en entorn Windows la majoria dels professors.

Free Technology for Teachers: 76 Examples of Using Haiku Deck in School

Free Technology for Teachers: 76 Examples of Using Haiku Deck in School | Bees iPads | Scoop.it

"If you're not familiar with it or haven't tried Haiku Deck, here's what you need to know. It's a free iPad app for creating slideshow presentations. There are two features of Haiku Deck that stand out. First, Haiku Deck intentionally limits how much text that you can put on each of your slides. Second, Haiku Deck helps you find Creative Commons licensed images for your presentations. When you type a word or words on your slides you can have Haiku Deck search for images for you. The images that Haiku Deck serves up are large enough to completely fill your slide. You can also upload your own images from your iPad or import images from Instagram and Facebook."
