Almost all teachers will tell the upcoming graduating class that teaching has a bounty of rewards. Of the grand amount of time spent in schools most of it is involved with a teacher either teaching or proctoring an exam. Teachers tend to leave a lasting impact on how these students see the professionals that choose it for the rest of their lives. The same goes for students, they can leave just as big an impression on the teacher for years to come. Though many deny it, teachers are the direct connection to the brighter future of the students and the world.

Most teachers will arrive earlier than students. This is so the teachers can prepare any lessons or activities they have planned. During the day the teachers do what the students normally see: teach, test, and supervise. After the dismissal of students the teachers stay and continue working. They plan for not only the next day but also the days to come. Teachers will also meet with parents and administration about any problems the students perceive as being the teachers fault. After dealing with any of those the teachers will go a grade students work ands assessments. Most teachers don't but some are involved with after-school sports like the sports teams or the band.

Laughter and amusement are both big players in the student and teacher relationship. this make come as a pun or silly statement from you or your students. However, it will always make you laugh. Teaching a whole day and not laughing is extremely rare.

Though each teacher and each class has its own set of objectives, it is the teacher who will decide what happens that day. Teachers will teach in their own fashion either with a lot of intensity and passion or a lot of facts that are basically useless unless connected. This is one of the few jobs in the world that provide so much room for creativity.

Vacation days are always a big question. With some schools moving to a year round schedule the teachers break is more divided up. However the typical school year allows for a few months to recharge, get another job, or teach the dreaded summer school. Also in addition to the few months these teachers also get two weeks in the winter and a week in the spring, around christmas and easter.
