Net Children Go Mobile aims to provide robust and comparable data on children and mobile internet in Denmark, Italy, Romania and the UK, through a survey and a qualitative research. Such a rapid adoption of convergent mobile media and the changes associated with mobile internet access at home, school and when out and about provide children with potential new opportunities, while at the same time exposing them to new risks. As regards opportunities, mobile media may represent resources for overcoming the digital divide among children who do not have access to domestic broadband connectivity but their use may equally result in new divides, especially between children who are one-platform internet users and those able to access the internet from a variety of platforms and places. I recently wrote about Snapchat, the popular photo sharing app that allows users to share photos that will self-destruct from between one and 10 seconds after they're viewed. But, it's also important for kids and adults to realize that there's no such thing content that absolutely disappears forever. Anything that can be digitized can be copied and stored and, as a forensics expert recently demonstrated, with the right tools, Snapchat photos, like PC files, can be undeleted. Advice for parents The takeaway for parents is, once again, to talk with your kids about how they are using this and all other apps, but not to panic or prevent them from using the app. Delete the scoop?

Don't reply to messages that are meant to harass or upset you. This is likely to encourage the bully Keep the message: you don't have to read it, but keep it as proof of harassment. It is vital to have a record of the incident when you look for help or want to report it. Report problems to people who can do something about it. You can take control by not putting up with offensive content or by reporting it to the website owners when you come across it. Incidents that could be illegal should be reported to the authorities Block the sender. You don’t have to put up with someone harassing you - block unwanted senders! Tell someone you trust. Talking to your parents, friends, a teacher, youth leader is usually the first step in dealing with any issue. Το βασικό ζήτημα για τα σχολεία είναι πώς να στηρίξουν τους μαθητές (και σε πολλές περιπτώσεις τους γονείς και κηδεμόνες) με συμβουλές για το πώς να αφαιρέσουν περιεχόμενο ή να μπλοκάρουν προφίλ χρηστών. Τα σχολεία πρέπει επίσης να έχουν επίγνωση των κινδύνων από πιθανούς θύτες, όπως και των μέτρων εκείνων που πρέπει να ληφθούν εάν ένα παιδί ή νεαρό άτομο προσβάλλεται μέσω Facebook. Υπάρχει άραγε καθολική προστασία;
Στη χώρα μας τέλος, αξίζει να "συμμαχήσετε" για τα δικαιώματα των παιδιών στο Διαδίκτυο μέσω Facebook, με ορόσημο τις 8 Σεπτεμβρίου 2013 απαιτώντας από το Facebook να σεβαστεί επιτέλους τα δικαιώματα των παιδιών.
