Christopher Mousset's insight:

Lung Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that start off in our lungs. the cells usually line the air passage. abnormal cells become tumors. they slow down the lungs ability to provide the bloodstream with oxygen. primary lung cancer starts in the lungs. Secondary lung cancer starts somewhere else and slowly makes its way toward the lungs. 1,370,000 people die each year on planet earth due to lung cancer

cancer is a result of cells that uncontrollably grow and dont die. programmed cell death is called apoptosis. when this fails cancer will forms. Lung cancer happens when a lungs cells gene mutation makes the cell unable to correct DNA damage and unable to commit suicide. SCARY STUFF MAN

Lung Cancer is the growth of unhealthy tissue in one or both lungs. The tissue normally grows in the passages that air passes through.

Instead of turning into healthy lung tissue it turns into tumors. Benign tumors do not spread, they stay in the same place.

Tumors get bigger and bigger and prevent the lung from providing the bloodstream with enough oxygen. Malignant tumors spread to other parts of the body through the lympatic system or through the blood stream.
