John Bradley was there in the battle of iwo jima.He was attched to the 5th marine division. They Arrvied on Feb. 19th. It was his first invasion. John says he got injured on March 12 which was the 22nd day they were there. The Battle happen in World War 2. The Morning of Feb 23 they stared up the mountain.
The island Jima now Named IOTO. Today it is almost impossible to vist the island because the army owns it. No civilizens live there. You can only vist the island when a tour group goes there once a year.The group meets every year on the anniversary of the battle in guam. The island is full of caves and bunkers.
