I believe that the Iraq war is just like the Battle of Iwo JIma. Many of our men fight just like their grand fathers did for their country. The pride of their nation runs through them. But also the hate for their enemies are the same as well. This war was started by the hunger for power as is every war.

This is a very Good web site to found out more about the battle. It goes into depth of what happened on that day. It describes how Iowa Jima was soften up by a bombing raid. And also included various details on other tactics the U.S. used against the native troops. It gives information on how many american troops were lost and also how many were lost on the other side. Its says that capturing Iwo Jima was a hard battle

This image projects the methods of battle that was needed for america to win this battle. Bombing raids were used to weak the enemy troops. Many of the men were usally outnumbered by hundreds of men. Marines attackd from the land and sea. Hundreds of men lost there lifes fighting for there country.
