From www.dragonblogger.com

Facebook Timeline no longer uses tabs but favorites, here is how to use iFrame for favorites and embed Rafflecopter widgets...

The first thing you will want to do is get rid of the “Likes” favorite by default since this could confuse users and isn’t the actual like button. @ileane from Basic Podcasting Tips does a great job explaining why you should ditch the like button and you should read her post: http://www.basicpodcastingtips.com/2012/03/facebook-timeline-fake-like-button.html

5 Poor Excuses For Failing Online

From blog.2createawebsite.com

3. I Started Too Late

Some people chalk up their failure to poor timing and are convinced they waited too late to get started.

Open your eyes. There are oodles of people who have found great success online in the last couple of years.

Look at people like Srinivas Rao (podcasting) Ana Hoffman (traffic building), Derek Halpern (sales and conversions), Tara Gentile (creativity, lifestyle) Brankica Underwood (coach/blogging), Kiesha Easley (blogging) Kristi Hines (freelancing), Corbett Barr (marketing/lifestyle entrepreneur), and Ileane Smith (podcasting/blogging).

I could go on and on and on. And no doubt I’ve probably just ticked off a few of my readers because I neglected to mention them. There are just too many to name.

These people haven’t been around for ten years. Most haven’t even been around for five. Nevertheless, they’ve used tools like social media, podcasting, joint ventures, and of course providing unparalleled advice to the people they reach on a consistent basis.

Zero in on the word consistent.

Do You Have A Reading List? Why or Why not? | Blog Networking 101

From www.blognetworking101.com

Ileane is a Blogger, Podcaster, Social Media Ninja. She is specialized in WordPress, blogging, social media, podcasting, YouTube marketing and tech tips! She blogs @ Basicblogtips.

Do you have a reading list? How did you choose the blogs that are in your reading list?
What are your thoughts about choosing a blog to read regularly? What steps would a blogger need to take?
I’m very active in blogging communities. For example BizSugar and Blog Engage are two of my favorites. I visit both of those sites regularly when I want to find valuable content to read. I have also a growing a great network of followers on Google+ and I go there to find content as well. There are a few topics that I have saved searches for in Google+, for instance podcasting and content marketing, and I like how Google+ lets me access them with one click.
Jeevan’s Note: Ileane is indeed very active in blogging communities. That’s a great tip right there. Follow your followers. See what they are up to. And here is something extra from me: Engage with them

Unlike many of my blogging friends, I’ve never relied on Google Reader to keep a reading list of blogs. That is just way to organized for my taste. I do use Twitterfeed for a small number of blogs and when I see something post on my BasicBlogTips Twitter account I will be sure to read the post. I’m not a fan of too much automation, so here are the short list of blogs that I have in Twitterfeed at this time:
iBlogZone
2 CreateaWebsite
Traffic Generation Cafe
GrowMap
After reading these blogs for many months, I feel confident that anything they publish will be worthwhile reading and sharing on Twitter.

Why you’re wasting time with Twitter right now | Search Engine People | Toronto

From www.searchenginepeople.com

Twitter VS. Guest Blogging

I wrote a guest post about my new ethical link building eBook for Ileane Smith of BasicBlogTips.com. The post took just over an hour to write and submit and I spent a further 1.5 hours answering people’s questions in the comments section.

I received 31 visitors to my website in the 20 days since posting the article:

That’s 31 visits from 2.5 hours of work and that’s only in 20 days compared to the last 30 days with Twitter.

That’s 12.4 visits per hour spent guest blogging. Scaling up to 30 days it would be 18.6 visitors per hour of work.

And that doesn’t take into account the much more substantial search engine benefits from multiple dofollow links from major blogs in your niche.

Clearly guest blogging represents much more value for the amount of time you put in compared to Twitter for a new Tweeter.

5 Reasons Why You are So Insanely Wrong About Guest Blogging!

From www.thebadblogger.com

Blog post at The Bad Blogger : This post was inspire by Hesham Zebida from FamousBloggers.net who had written an awesome sort of...This sounds like an excuse from someone that got rejected. Yes, it’s smart to be able to blend in if necessary, but the reality is that if your writing is unique and somewhat decent, most bloggers will embrace your alternate voice as a way to bring variety to their audience. Sure, there are exceptions, but I’ve never had a problem getting guest posts, and I spend most of my time...
