Mourners pray during the funeral for Fadhel Salman al-Matrook on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, in Manama, Bahrain. Al-Matrook was killed Tuesday when police tried to stop a funeral march for another Bahraini killed in anti-government protests. Protesters demanding sweeping political reforms from Bahrain's rulers held their ground Wednesday in an Egypt-style occupation of the capital's landmark square, staging a third day of demonstrations that have brought unprecedented pressures in one of Washington's most strategic allies in the Gulf.

Ali Mansoor Khudeer’S children the martyr who got killed on the 17th of February are Ahmed a 9 year old child, Jaffar a 14 year old teenager, Hassan 21 years old , and his only daughter who's 18 years old.
Ali Mansoor Khudeer was their life oxygen, hope , and dream .. they used to live in the dark , maybe he was a fisherman but, he was their only light .. They used to live in a ramshackle home in Sitra , then they moved to an old poor rental flat in the same area .. I don’t know how could the martyr's family live with this condition, after the tragic death of their only light and hope .. Moreover , his son Hassan is unemployed !!! Such poor children i mean such poor orphans !!

Intricacies of Bahrain's Shia-Sunni divide - Opinion - Al Jazeera English

Intricacies of Bahrain's Shia-Sunni divide - Opinion - Al Jazeera English | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it
In Bahrain, the problem is colonialism, not sectarianism.

The so-called sectarian divide of Bahrain is a manipulative simplification of a far greater divide: that of the colonially-installed government that has no connection with or compassion for the people of Bahrain. The Saudis are there to preserve Anglo-American power as they do in Saudi Arabia. They are Sunni. The people they rule over are primarily Shia.

These are the kinds of tensions the British specialized in and the Americans are taking advantage of in so many parts of the world. It's an insidious approach to world affairs. Coupled with nonstop mainstream media portrayals of sectarian divides amongst the population, it has been a successful model for damaging the locals, their reputation, and their chances of getting the help they actually need.

It leaves entire families homeless, using nothing but their power of protest and their determination, to get their voices heard.

Feb 17, 2011 | Social Government | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

The army took control of this city on Thursday, except at the main hospital, where thousands of people gathered screaming, crying, collapsing in grief, just hours after the police opened fired with birdshot, rubber bullets and tear gas on pro-democracy demonstrators camped in Pearl Square.
As the army asserted control of the streets with tanks and heavily armed soldiers, the once peaceful protesters were transformed into a mob of angry mourners chanting slogans like “death to the king,” while the opposition withdrew from the Parliament and demanded that the government step down.
But for those who were in Pearl Square in the early morning hours, when the police opened fired without warning on thousands who were sleeping there, it was a day of shock and disbelief. Many of the hundreds taken to the hospital were wounded by shotgun blasts, doctors said, their bodies speckled with pellets or bruised by rubber bullets or police clubs.
In the morning, there were three bodies already stretched out on metal tables in the morgue at Salmaniya Medical Complex:

George W. Bush: War Crimes & Crimes Against Humanity | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

George W. Bush is reported to be coming to Surrey British Columbia on October 20, 2011 at the invitation of Surrey Mayor Diane Watts. There is overwhelming evidence that George W. Bush as President of the United States of America (US) and Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces aided, abetted and counseled the torture of non-Americans at US controlled prisons outside the US including but not limited to Guantánamo Bay prison in Cuba, Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, Bagram prison in Afghanistan and other places. This letter of complaint focuses on torture allegations while acknowledging evidence of other war crimes and crimes against humanity carried out by the Bush administration.
