Is this 'reform Hamad?  Is this the implementations of the BICI recommendations!

Does this represent the 'new' Bahrain police under Timoney & Yates?

Who is charged in this egregious case of torture?  This is a crime supported and endorsed by the criminal Al-Khalifas inasmuch as they do not act decisively against the perpetrator(s) and the system that allows it.

....

The employees at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), are not alone in seeking redress. Around 2000 workers were dismissed during the pro-democracy protests in 2011 and many have complained that they have been forced to accept worse conditions with little or no reimbursement for lost earnings. As to the allegations of mistreatment, the BIC issued a bizarre non-denial denial in an inserted addendum to a Guardian article on the issue. This stated, implausibly, that “if any of its employees were beaten or otherwise badly treated by BIC security staff” — which it denies — “it would have been without BIC’s knowledge, instructions or orders”. Like the violent response to the uprising more broadly, which the regime sought to blame on the actions of (presumably renegade) junior officers, there has been absolutely no accountability for the events that are too well-documented for the regime to deny.

Human Rights in Bahrain

Human Rights in Bahrain | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

When we went to Bahrain a few weeks ago, what we found there is a much divided society. There is fear among civil society organizations and many human rights activists, in particular the violence and the human rights violations. The other point is that there is a contradiction in terms of political will from the Government to find solutions based on the report of the Independent Commission of Inquiry and on the other hand, there is also lack of confidence in the society on any decision or measure taken by the Government.

Bahrain: Al-Khalifa terrorists martyr the freedom protesters, then proceed to target their families | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

...

Therefore, BCHR calls for the following:

1. The Bahraini government must stop attacking and targeting the friends and families of martyrs.
2. Those responsible for the killing of martyrs must be hold accountable and be brought to an independent judicial system rather than be put on show trials.
3. Families of martyrs must be compensated both morally and materially for their losses, as well as for the attacks they have been subjected to.
4. International community must condemn the Bahraini regime's use of vengeance in the case of the families of martyrs.

Bahrain: Killings continue as anniversary of revolution approaches - Bahrain Freedom Movement

The protests continued on daily and nightly basis in almost every town and village of the country with, attended by men and women among the youth. The slogans have now become familiar with calls for regime change and the downfall of the dictator. Last night a particular protest was held in the capital, Manama led by Nabil Rajab, the President of the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights. He was joined by several other activists who marched from several points to converge on the centre of Manama. The Al Khalifa forces, led by John Timoney, launched merciless attacks on them using all means at the their disposal. The right of freedom of expression has been completely eradicated by the Al Khalifa dictatorship and the Al Saud occupiers. The regime has been emboldened by the US support of its crackdown against peaceful demonstrators. Despite the much-hailed Bissiouni report none of its 33 recommendations have been implemented. The American support has been condemned by Bahrainis as complicity in the war against the people, their rights and the principles of justice and human rights.
