Leading Bahraini cleric Sheikh Issa Qassem said that ruling Al Khalifa has officially declared a war on the Shia faith by expelling Ayatollah Sheikh Hussein al-Najati.

“Out of all states in the world, Bahrain declared a blatant, defying and open war on the Shia faith,” Sheikh Qassim stated.

However, he pressed on international communities and the United Nations to take a stand.

The Bahrain regime have been oppressing and imprisoning  all activist against al khalifa regime, Najati had been among the 31 opposition figures deprived of their Bahraini nationality by the regime in 2012.

“This campaign of threats, harassment and intimidation against Sheikh Hussain al-Najati is unacceptable and must stop immediately,” said Said Boumedouha, Amnesty International’s deputy director for the Middle East and North Africa.

The United Nations also has censured the Bahraini regime for discriminating against the Shia majority of the country.

In Addition Scores of Bahrainis have so far been killed and hundreds of others injured and arrested in the regime crackdown on peaceful demonstrations.

Not to forget here that some governmental leaks have confirmed the involvement of Saudi And Jordan Forces in Bahrain

Bahrain Senior Cleric: Shia Killing in Egypt, Humiliation of Humanity | The Shia Post

Bahrain Senior Cleric: Shia Killing in Egypt, Humiliation of Humanity | The Shia Post | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

Bahrain’s Shia Leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim described last week’s Shia killing in Egypt’s Giza province as an example of humiliating the entire humanity.

In his Friday prayer sermon at Imam Sadeq (AS) Mosque in Manama’s Diraz district, Ayatollah Qassim also said the massacre was a heinous one and a testament to the ignorance of its perpetrators.

On Sunday, June 23, extremist Takfiri mobs attacked a house in a village in Giza province of Egypt and killed four Shia Muslims in the house including Allameh Sheikh Hassan Shehata, spiritual leader of Shia Muslims in the country.

Ayatollah Qassim urged all Muslims to stand up against these seditious acts and against those who consider their fellow Muslims as infidels.

“There are some ignorant people who have a wrong understanding of Islam and Islamic schools and try to exploit divisive issues to deal a blow to the Muslim Ummah’s unity,” he said.

"...Virtually all of those affected were Shia Bahrainis.

The government of King Hamad promised reforms in the wake of the violence but critics including Wefaq say that human rights violations and police brutality against protesters continue.

Jasim Husain, a senior al-Wefaq member, told the BBC that the raid on Sheikh Isa Qassim's house had "deeply offended" the Shia community.

"He has a huge number of followers. People were shocked that security forces had raided the home of the most senior religious figure in the country at one o'clock in the morning. ....

Earlier in the day three Sunni political societies issued a statement denouncing a meeting Sheik Qassim had on Thursday with Rashad Hussain, a senior US state department official.

The societies claimed the meeting, the first ever by a high ranking US official with Sheik Qassim, was evidence that "with this (meeting), the position of the state department and the American government is increasingly exposed in its support for terrorist operations in Bahrain".

Comment on Sheikh Isa Qassim's call to answer violence with violence!

Comment on Sheikh Isa Qassim's call to answer violence with violence! | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

My comment:

This has got to be Bahrain's darkest hour! When in the history of human events has violence solicited any other response than more violence? This is an act of desperation, and that should not be! Each Shia is not alone, first they are all in the heart and mind of Allah! Second, they have each other as a support community. Why acts of desperation? When you look at the history of freedom struggles worldwide, the proven success of civil disobedience makes it the venue of choice. This is NOT to say that this path is not full of risks, brutalities, and deaths. There WILL be sufferings on this path. But, the goal of freedom for yourselves, for your children, for all future Bahraini citizens must be the focus. The blacks in America suffered horribly, but MLK led them through this to comparative freedom today, much is to be done, but they are overcoming on this path. The Jews suffered genocidal extermination at the hands of the Nazis, but today they have their own nation. Issa suffered under the Pharsiees/Sadducees/Rome, but his movement lives today! YOU WILL OVERPOWER THIS REGIME WITH YOUR CAPACITY TO ENDURE ANYTHING THEY CAN THROW AT YOU AND STILL BE ASKING FOR FREEDOM! YOU WILL NOT, AND CANNOT, OVERPOWER THIS REGIME BY FORCE! BE STRONG, BE RESOLUTE, STAY FOCUSED! EACH ACT OF VIOLENCE BY THE DEMOCRACY REFORMERS FUELS THE PROPAGANDA MACHINE OF THE REGIME AGAINST YOUR CAUSE. DO NOT GIVE YOUR ENEMY AMMUNITION AGAINST YOURSELF, DO NOT ANSWER VIOLENCE, WITH VIOLENCE! I LOVE YOU ALL, TAKE CARE!

Bahraini cleric condemns crackdown on anti-regime protesters | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

Sheikh Issa Qasim had earlier said that the government's harsh crackdown on anti-government protesters has strengthened their resolve to fight for their rights, adding the use of the ''politics of fear'' by authorities and their refusal to adopt demanded reforms have failed to silence Bahrainis.

He has also repeatedly called on Bahrainis to continue their protest campaign until their demands are met.

"We have offered so many sacrifices and cannot back down and end up empty handed. The reactions of the security forces result in damaging the country, but the people are patient and peaceful,''

Bahraini forces attack pro-democracy protesters

Cleric says PGCC rulers observing double standards

A senior Shia cleric in Bahrain has said that Sunni rulers from the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) are showing double standards by supporting Arab uprisings elsewhere while aiding Bahrain's crackdown on its pro-reform protests, AP reported.

Sheik Isa Qassim said on Friday the calls for greater rights in Bahrain are being ignored by Persian Gulf neighbors that have backed other revolts, such as those in Syria and Libya.

Qassim's Friday sermon did not cite specific countries, but Saudi Arabia leads a Persian Gulf military force supporting Bahrain's Sunni rulers. Last week, Saudi Arabia strongly denounced Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for trying to crush protesters.

Qatar, meanwhile, has led Persian Gulf aid to Libyan rebels.

#Bahrain --- 10,000s Protest Raids by Security Forces

#Bahrain --- 10,000s Protest Raids by Security Forces | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

Tens of thousands of Bahrainis have staged a sit-in to protest raids by security forces, including one on the home of the Kingdom's Shia cleric, Sheikh Isa Qassim.

The sit-in was called by Al Wefaq, Bahrain's largest opposition society, which has also suspended participation in a "National Dialogue" over the raids and detentions of dissenters.

Friday's sit-in took place in Diraz near Sheikh Qassim's mosque. An observer said police had made no attempt to stop protesters entering the town. A l Wefaq had called for a peaceful demonstration and there were no reports of violence.

Earlier in the day three pro-regime political societies issued a statement denouncing a meeting between Sheik Qassim and Rashad Hussain, a senior US State Department official, on Thursday.

Activist: Insulting Sheikh Qassem Means Declaring War on Bahraini People | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

....Sheikh Issa Qassem had earlier this month underlined the Bahraini people's insistence on restoring their rights and demands.

"The policy of suppression, violence and using iron fist by authorities against the citizens and opposition figures will intensify and prolong the crisis and troubles the possibility of achieving a solution," Qassem said at the time, addressing worshippers in al-Daraz district.

Qassem pointed to the strong willingness of the al-Khalifa regime to use force against the Bahraini people, and said such policies harm people's interests and prolong the ongoing crisis in the country.

"Those who hope that the Bahraini people would relinquish their demands one day are only dreaming," he reiterated....

The Condemnation of Threatening Ayatollah Isa Qasim by Bahrain Regime...

He also warns the nation of Bahrain of division and separation and seeks to neutralize the plot of religious and sectarian sedition by enemies in this Sheikdom.  ...

But instead of taking the scholars’ advice and give back people’s rights, Al-Khalifah regime unfortunately has threatened and frightened Ayatollah Shaykh Isa Qasim. . ...
