Al-Khalifas sell-out Bahrain in a final act of betrayal?!

Al-Khalifas sell-out Bahrain in a final act of betrayal?! | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

Intersected an information from different sources confirmed Chairman of the AL-AYAM newspaper Najib Al-hamar, who is the brother of Nabil Al-hamar the media adviser for the king, That the royal family of Bahrain (Al Khalifa) has decided to sell Bahrain and its people to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the declaration of "Union of two in a royal decree" is likely to be released soon. The move, if true, confirms the desire of the family of the ruling Al Khalifa to ensure control of the wealth looted, and fear of real change reduces their powers.

Observers had been spotted intense letters between the Royal family in bahrain and Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, and was a message to carry the Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa to the king of Saudi Arabia, In these letters agreed to form of Union, which would be practically an admission of Bahrain governance with Saudi Arabia.

Highlight of this, "Bahrain mirror" knows that the national events fell apart for the meetings away from the spotlight to discuss this serious step, which will serve as a final and full occupation to Bahrain.

And that raised questions in these hours for the international society attitude and the position of the United Nations to cause the State of Bahrain, which provides for the National Action Charter and the Constitution applicable to "Bahrain is an independent Arab state may not waive its sovereignty, an inch of its territory. Is a fully sovereign state recognized officially at the United Nations "

Continue of this form of Union to be announced vague, but observers assert that "any form of announcement of the Union is not legal because it did not take the permission of the Bahraini people, and being in the practical recognition of the full of Bahrain to the rule of Saudi-oriented holistic hostile to the people of Bahrain and the aspirations to freedom and democracy. "

‎#CounterRevolution
Can We Protect Our Prominent Opposition Leaders From Torture? And How?

After the utter failure of the so called “serious dialogue” with the illegitimate regime, and the obvious rejection by the mainstream opposition, the dialogue callers appear to be resorting to their last option.
It has been noticed that a well-organized campaign being carried out by certain bloggers and activists. The campaign has been desperately attempting to convince people that releasing the jailed prominent opposition figures should be an acceptable condition to engage in a dialogue with the regime.
If we fall for this campaign, then we would be putting our prominent opposition leaders who are behind bars in a serious risk; they might be severely tortured physically and psychologically because the regime would not hesitate to do anything to force them agree with the dialogue.
On the other hand, if we reject the dialogue “fundamentally” based on the fact that the regime has lost legitimacy and the only choice left to it is to fall and go away, then torturing the prominent opposition leaders would become completely pointless.
We at the Pearl Revolution Political Center perceive “this” dialogue as the most dangerous plot of the counter-revolution and we strongly call on everyone to reject it. We would also like to call on the opposition political societies to take a firm stance against the illegitimate regime, which has been dominating our country for over two centuries.

Bahrainis know that they stand a very little chance, but this is their only chance – Lamees Dhaif | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

....Despite the government of Khalifah ibn Sulman al-Khalifah, the uncle of the reigning King Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifah having everything at their disposal from media to military, they haven’t been able to break the will of the Bahraini people who are now reusing to be their slaves.

If you keep an eye on Bahrain and have been there, you will understand that it’s the Prime Minister and not the King who bears the responsibility for all that is happening. The king is living in a bubble and willingly or unwillingly can’t get rid of his uncle who is supposedly backed by the Saudi’s. ....

Tell Secretary Clinton: Condemn the Abuses by the Bahrain Monarchy! | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

I stand with Bahraini democracy activists and I urge you to:

* Condemn the continued crackdown against peaceful protestors;

* Call for the release of those convicted by military courts and an end to torture and arbitrary detention;

* Announce that the United States is closely monitoring current developments in Bahrain to see if the security forces adhere to international standards and law in protecting peaceful protestors; and

* State that its current and future relationship with the monarchy is dependent on it respecting international human rights standards and holding violators accountable.

Religion and Politics in Bahrain: Bahrain's "War of Attrition"

Religion and Politics in Bahrain: Bahrain's "War of Attrition" | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

King Hamad graced Bahraini viewers yesterday with an address announcing various constitutional amendments. It would be wrong to use the standard adjective "much-anticipated" to describe the speech, for few were expecting much of anything by way of actual political reform. As it turns out, the king did not go even this far, failing altogether to acknowledge the actual demands of the opposition. Instead, the new measures stem (solely, as far as I can tell) from the recommendations of this summer's farcical National Dialogue that readers may have happily forgotten about until now, giving the impression that King Hamad is still living in August 2011. How long does it take to draft a royal decree in an absolute monarchy? This is Bahrain we're talking about; it's not like the amendments had to pass through seven congressional subcommittees.
