State atrocities cannot stop Baloch nation from demanding freedom – Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti

State atrocities cannot stop Baloch nation from demanding freedom – Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

Baloch Republican Party chief Nawab Brahumdagh Khan Bugti has condemned the ongoing military operation in Mashkay and termed it the continuity of the Baloch genocidal policies of the occupying state of Pakistan. He said that the occupying state had intensified military operations because of the fear of failure of its election process in Balochistan. By these atrocities, he said, the state was sending a clear message to the Baloch nation that anyone demanding freedom will get a bullet as an answer. He urged the Baloch nation to express solidarity with their brethren directly affected by the military operation and to come to help and aid them. “Referendum is not our goal. We only struggle for freedom of Balochistan and we will not hesitate to render any sacrifice for that” he reiterated his stance.

He said that the ongoing military operations in Makran, Mashkay, Awaran and Panjgur were not a new thing but the continuity of Baloch genocidal policies of the occupying state. “The occupying state claims that there is no military operation going on in Balochistan but at the same time it has accelerated military offensives in Makran where unarmed and innocent Baloch civilians have been targeted. Mashkay is under complete military siege from last week and forces are busy in brutal activities where more than thirty innocent civilians including women and children have been martyred. Not only the privacy of households are being violated by the forces but also they are committing gross human rights violations with full impunity” He shared the details of the ongoing military operation Mashkay and other parts of Balochistan.....

Independent Balochistan would be consisted of Baloch populated areas: Brahamdagh Bugti

Independent Balochistan would be consisted of Baloch populated areas: Brahamdagh Bugti | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

...

Replying to  a query, Bugti said that several Baloch leaders were agreed on independent Balochistan but there was no consensus among them. However, he said it was not necessary that there should be unity among the Baloch on the issue and the aim could also be achieved without it.

He said main reason behind the division between Baloch leaders were the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Bugti said that independent Balochistan would be consisted of Baloch populated areas while Pashtoon majority areas would not be part of it.

He conceded “right now, there is no solid support for our aim but lobbying goes on in US, UK and Russia”.Bugti claimed that resolution of US lawmaker Dana Rohrabacher was not aimed at putting pressure on Islamabad instead it was the result of efforts of Baloch people, living abroad.

Ashamed of the shameless enemy: Baloch pro-independence leader Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti's family TARGETED! | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

By: Abdul Bugti
...

And today the most cowardly and shameful act of the occupying forces was witnessed when Sister of a Baloch pro-independence leader Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti and granddaughter of Shaheed-e-Azam Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was killed along with her teenage daughter and their driver in Gizri Bridge, Karachi when the armed-men of secret agencies of Pakistan opened indiscriminate firing on their car when they were on their way back to home after attending a wedding of a close relative.

She was wife of Mir Bakhtiyar Domki, a tribal head of Domki tribe. Apparent reason of her killing is to hurt the Baloch leader Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti and his family emotionally as they are far away to be hurt physically.

We the Baloch are believed to be born fighters and our mother sing us stories of warriors in their berceuse. Baloch have fought against every invader from Alexander the great to the British imperialist forces but had never faced such shameless and coward enemy who can step this low to fulfill his dirty goals. The only word I can say is we the Baloch are really ashamed of the shameless enemy, The Pakistani state and its forces.

Politician or rebel, good or bad – who is Brahamdagh Bugti?

The Great Leader of Baloch Nation Nawab Brahumdagh Khan Bugti Bugti:Interview in Geneva

The Great Leader of Baloch Nation Nawab Brahumdagh Khan Bugti Bugti:Interview in Geneva | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

GENEVA: Exiled leader of the Balochistan Republican Party (BRP) Brahumdagh Bugti has denied sponsoring armed militancy in Balochistan and maintained he only supported the movement through political means.

...

He said doors for negotiations are open but any negotiations would be pointless while the military operation was in full swing, according to Bugti’s claim. “The operation has not been suspended for a single day. We are ready to talk but to whom do we talk? The operation is so severe that Pakistan is not letting in journalists and human rights NGOs. People are living a miserable life there. We need to know what will be the agenda of these talks.“Right now the Baloch nation doesn’t want anything less than freedom. Freedom is the basic human right. Some people say that missing persons’ issue is the biggest but we need to know why they disappeared, what was at play, what were the real reasons.”

He said he had decided to go the path that he’s treading now after first accepting the supremacy of Pakistani Constitution and then realizing some 50 years later that it was a folly. “We remained within the system but what did we get out of it other than military operations, mutilated bodies and our families being butchered,” he said. ....

EDITORIAL: Balochistan: a self-fulfilling prophecy

EDITORIAL: Balochistan: a self-fulfilling prophecy | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

...It is highly unlikely that women and children would be targeted even in a feud between the Baloch tribes. This is completely against the culture of the Baloch. Reasonable suspicion thus arises that this was not the work of any Baloch tribe but our own intelligence agencies that are busy harassing and assaulting the Baloch.

The murder of Mr Domki’s wife, daughter and driver is political, and there are genuine reasons to speculate that it is related to Brahamdagh Bugti, who is one of the leaders of the Baloch resistance movement and has often been hounded by our military and its operatives. So far, they have not been successful in extraditing him from Switzerland, where he has obtained political asylum. Killing his sister and niece could be one way of sending him a chilling message. It also points to the military’s callous attitude towards all norms of humanity. Women, children and old people are not deliberately targeted in wars. What kind of a despicable regime is this that would kill women and children in cold blood just to make a point? The police are still clueless about the murderers but they must investigate properly and get to the bottom of this horrific incident. No words can do justice to the sense of outrage at this atrocious crime. ....
