....

As the government continues to dig its way into a police state, Bahraini’s have begun to question the effectiveness of non-violent tactics. It’s doubtless to say that the creative strategies exercised by activists for the past year prove that violence was never on the agenda for change- it still isn’t. However now a disgruntled, and psychologically traumatised populace are struggling to reason the merits of a moral tactic when confronted with a regime that has lost all moral ground. It is no surprise then that after a year of having the government’s forces conduct routine violent excursions into residential areas, the odd protester is prepared to defend oneself from the government forces with a Molotov cocktail bomb. In fact one must really wonder in astonishment at how such a persecuted peoples have managed to strive for so long without ever even picking up any firearms as of yet. This may change should the government continue to ignore the civil liberties of the people.

Time, money, energy, and a dozen or so expensive government PR companies have worked to demonise the protesters as an erratic bunch of ‘violent Shia vandals’ whose goals are destructive to Bahrain’s national fabric. The Al Khalifa’s tactic for survival is to disguise Bahrain’s political corruption, with the allegation that national security has been breached. Consequently the protesters demands have been met with little seriousness – if any. The government has chosen to neglect the political upheaval that threatens its existence, in favour of sensationalising the narrative of events to the point in which a lone burning tyre causes much more hysteria amongst royalists than does a dead body.

Operation Countering the Counter-revolution in Bahrain

Operation Countering the Counter-revolution in Bahrain | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

URGENT: Pearl Revolution Political Center Announces Launch of Operation “Countering the Counter-Revolution”

Counter-Revolution takes several forms, but the most devastating form is the one that manifests from within the revolution itself, dissolving it quietly and slowly without much attention. This kind of counter-revolution is plotted by US intelligence and is implemented by certain individuals, political parties or societies (unintentionally in some cases) that claim to be part of the revolution.

The counter-revolution in Bahrain is no exception and so far it has harmed the revolution to a dangerous extent, yet few have taken notice. The counter-revolution has been working in all dimensions to replace the sole demand of the Pearl Revolution, which is to overthrow the monarchal regime altogether and replace it with a political system that people decide in a self-determination exercise. The replacement “option” that the counter revolution has been working restlessly to plant is a mere political reform that aims to keeps the current monarchal system intact.
For this reason, the Pearl Revolution Political Center has decided to take a firm stand to counter the counter-revolution, and the best mean to do so is already available: the “Lulu Charter”.

The operation Countering the Counter-Revolution presents to the world our English translation of the Lulu Charter along with special introduction and we will spare no efforts to spread it across the whole world to make everyone realizes the real demands of our revolution and this will effectively defeat the counter-revolution. Our future operations will be actual implementation of Lulu Charter contents.
Our people don't need to get ready! The ‘one’ who should get ready is the Al-Khalifa regime, the Al-Saud invading Forces and the US Administration and its invading 5th Fleet.

it’s also fundamental to acknowledge that the lack of meaningful reform coupled with continued police violence is making people increasingly militant. Thus penalising attacks against the security forces after creating conditions that make violence against them somewhat inevitable is ultimately a recipe for continued repression. .....

Bahrain: Our forgotten revolution will be victorious ~ Hussein Youssef

It is more a revolution than an uprising. It is a revolution on the domestic level and a revolution in terms of consciousness and action, and the type and scale of activism. We are talking about demonstrations and events where 40-50 per cent of the people of Bahrain are participating. Some estimates put 400,000 out of 750,000 citizens at protests on 14 February 2011."

In Bahrain, Worries Grow of Violent Shiite-Sunni Confrontation

In Bahrain, Worries Grow of Violent Shiite-Sunni Confrontation | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it
The 14th of February movement is a worry to Western and Arab security officials who say that the passions unleashed by last year's democracy campaign are evolving into another violent confrontation.

[There is a saying:  'Never bring a knife to a gunfight...'   In this context I believe it means:  if you want to fight back:  acquire suitable weaponry first, study and secure fighters and strategy second, then , and only then, confront!  Stones and clubs against guns is a mismatch more suitable for suicide than confrontation.   Okay, I'll shut-up now....]
