“Our new Zeta Plus encapsulated devices allow customers greater flexibility when scaling processes from laboratory, through small scale Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ultimately commercial manufacture."
"All media and flow paths are identical in the devices to facilitate linear scaling and robust, reproducible purification data,” said Lynne Deakin, Field Applications Specialist, 3M’s Purification Division. “Customers currently using our BCE03 or BC1000/2000 capsules should convert to the new capsules to enhance performance and productivity.”"
"The new Zeta Plus Capsule Filters can be used in parallel or in series, and provide the flexibility to use different filter media at the same time. The capsules have integral legs for plug-and-play operation or stacking (without a ring stand), and are also moulded in translucent plastic for easy monitoring of the filtration process."
"Using MBR technology from GE, the JBWRF was able to significantly reduce its site footprint, compared to conventional wastewater treatment technologies, by eliminating the need for secondary clarifiers. Additionally, the ZeeWeed membranes from GE will help the facility meet future nutrient removal and water reuse standards."
"As part of the wastewater treatment process, GE's membrane filtration system separates the clean water from the solids in the wastewater. There are various pumping systems also located in the process building that are associated with the treatment and filtration processes as well as high-speed turbo-blowers that provide the air required to operate the membrane filtration system."

There’s an ongoing debate about the ROI of social media marketing. Many of the conversations center around measuring social media as a branding and awareness tool, while others concentrate on the value of thought leadership.
Monitoring the metrics for thought leadership and branding are important, but many marketers make the mistake of using those metrics to support the success of their social media initiatives. This can result in C-level executives doubting the return on their investment in social media.
Simply put, your CEO is probably less interested in hearing about how many people are talking about your brand/product/service and more interested in learning how social media helped drive revenue.
Measurement is a ceaseless debate in social media. One of the biggest problems organizations face is defining the key performance indicators (KPIs) they should look at when assessing their efforts.
This infographic from Social Media Today lays out some of the analytic basics that almost every business can relate to and understand. These measures should provide intelligence that will help you understand how social media is affecting everything from customer service to sales.
The good news is they’ll also help the next time some dinosaur-era CEO asks: “How will we measure Facebook?”
Digital marketing should do more than simply extend brand reach, and the top B2B companies are proving how powerful digital can be when done correctly.
Aberdeen Group, a firm that analyzes the social marketing initiatives of top B2B companies, recently found that the best B2B companies generate an average of 17% of their leads from social media, which is about 230% more marketing-generated leads than other companies (5%).
The “Best-in-Class” companies are defined as the top 20% of aggregate performers, based on annual revenue growth, marketing leads resulting in closed business, annual customer retention rate, and sales-forecasted pipeline generated by marketing.
In recent posts, I have taught our readers how to grasp the basic concepts required for monitoring and managing social media so they can be more effective in marketing their businesses on these channels.
As the last in my three-part series, this post discusses how to measure the information received through the first two processes to provide actionable insight required to carry out successful, long-term social media strategies.
In a study of 3,128 HubSpot B2B customers, LinkedIn generated the highest visitor-to-lead conversion rate at 2.60%, four times higher than Twitter (.67%) and seven times better than Facebook (.39%).
The methodology was a data dump of all of HubSpot customers' social media traffic and leads collected through the HubSpot system in 2011. From there, data was segmented to look at B2B companies that had generated visits and leads from social media.
Companies that generated less than two leads in the year were excluded from the sample.

"The TEQUATIC PLUS filter combines cross-flow filtration with centrifugal separation and has been designed to handle a wide range of difficult-to-treat feedwaters."
"The filter is produced by Clean Filtration Technologies (CFT), which became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company in April 2012."
"John Patrin, CFT strategic marketing manager said advantages include “the ability to filter water with high and variable solids with almost no maintenance, fouling and backwash cycles, and no need for cartridge filters."
A study published by the National Association of Manufacturers and the Manufacturing Institute, titled “Keeping America Competitive”; states that “today’s manufacturing jobs are technology jobs, and employees at all levels must have the wider range of skills required to respond to the demands of an increasingly complex environment.”
The study goes on to say that among companies involved in skilled production (whose employees are machinists, craft workers, and technicians), 51 percent report shortages and see increased shortages ahead. A U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report shows that shortages of skilled workers are most serious for machinists, craft workers, technicians, electricians, and engineers.
The Opportunities - The case for manufacturing jobs
1- Demand – The need to replace 10 million 2- Clean High Technology environment
3- White collar jobs
4- Wages – The average manufacturing job pays about $20,000 more per year then the average service job. A good example is the high-tech sector in Austin, Texas. There the average wage is $88,000 per year.
As with any social or marketing channel, there is no magic formula for success on Pinterest. However, there are lessons to be learned from those already in the space experimenting. Here are five user insights you to use.
Brands that regard their websites as a primary revenue source have three very distinct priorities: give customers an optimal experience, create loyalty and convert potentially passive browsers into active buyers.
It’s not a coincidence that experience and loyalty precede sales in this short priority list; the relationship between exceptional customer experiences and revenue growth is fairly direct. The better your website speaks to your visitors, the more loyal they will become and the more sales you will generate.
The good news is that customers can (and should) be very active in the optimization process. The bad news is that they’re also very fickle.
Providing great customer experience and optimizing touchpoints in a consistent way equals successful marketing. We are shifting to a more customer-centric marketing view.
In the age of the connected and empowered consumer, providing relevant information and engaging in a mutually valuable way, is a must. Plus with the economic down turn many marketers are increasingly focusing on optimization and thus the customer. The result of doing so is ROI.
Let’s hope these insights remain once things do get better again. Because one thing is sure: the economy will improve but the consumer will not become less demanding.
It’s clear that optimizing customer experience is becoming increasingly important in organizations. This is not only the case in marketing. A Gartner report shows that customer experience has entered the top 10 of CIO technology priorities for 2012. Why? Because management wants it.
Scientists and engineers at heart, we thrive on helping customers protect people, the environment and our natural resources. We are often called “the original clean technology company” because our products provide clear environmental benefits.
