Many of my peers and colleagues have said outright that they don't use Twitter auto DMs, that you shouldn't use them, and that any time they get an auto DM from someone they immediately unfollow them and banish them to the fourth plain of existence.

Wow. That's kinda harsh. (Though I did add that last part...)
