Where to Watch Facebook's Big Idea | The Content Marketing Hat | Scoop.it

Mike Allton's insight:

"A small team has been working on a Big Idea."

That's basically all Facebook had to say about what's coming today. Is it a physical product like a watch, or an upgrade to a service like allowing video on Instagram? Who knows. We'll find out at 10 AM PST, and if you're interested in watching Live, you have a few options. Social Media Active Users, By Network UPDATED
Facebook continues to grow in usage.

That's the update this month. Facebook reported a growth in monthly active users of 40,000,000, up to a whopping 1.39 Billion Active Monthly Users.

None of the other networks are reporting any new data, which is particularly disappointing for +Google+ and +YouTube whose data is still from 2013.

Top Blog Posts from The Social Media Hat for 2014 | The Content Marketing Hat | Scoop.it
These are the top ten most popular articles on The Social Media Hat from 2014 - all of your favorites! Check 'em out and make sure you didn't miss any.
Mike Allton's insight:

Top Ten Blog Posts from 2014

It's become something of a tradition to review the most popular articles from your year. More than just sneaking in an extra blog post on New Year's Eve, I think it's a great exercise... an audit, if you will. While I may have my own personal favourites, as a blogger, what needs to matter more to me is which articles are your favourites. Which topics and posts resonated with you more than all the others?

And while there were some interesting surprises, it's also gratifying to see that several of my ideas and strategies this past year paid off. I put a lot of effort into making a few posts epic - and your responses were genuinely appreciated.

So this is a Thank You post to each of you. Maybe you've seen all these articles, or maybe you'll catch a couple you missed. Either way, I sincerely appreciate you and am looking forward to a fantastic 2015!

#Blogging  #SocialMedia #ContentMarketing
#BestOf2014 #TopTenList

P.S. I would be remiss if I didn't mention a few people who really stood out this year - people upon whom I depend and owe a great deal. THANK YOU, each of you, for everything you've done to help and support me.
+Jeff Sieh +Stephan Hovnanian +Les Dossey +Wade Harman +Mia Voss +Denise Wakeman +Peg Fitzpatrick +Rebekah Radice +martin shervington +Denis Labelle +Chef Dennis Littley +David Oldenburg +David Amerland +Dustin W. Mike Allton's insight:

How'd You Do This Year?

The end of the year is a natural time to look back on the past year and reflect on what you accomplished. I know I've been very blessed this year, and am looking forward to my end of year analysis, both personally and professionally.

When it comes to my business, specifically, there are four areas that I'll be looking at:

01. My Content
02. My Audience
03. My Platform
04. My Business Goals

The article below goes into more detail on what I will be looking at, and has a special Holiday Offer for those businesses who would be interested in such an analysis, but would like a hand.
