This week we continue with the recap of our SMACdown event that took place at this year’s FutureM conference in October.  Last week we showed you how the Marketing Mavericks provided a solution that leveraged the SMAC Stack to drive sales and enhance the customer experience for BJ’s Wholesale Club. Now it’s the Digital Dynamos turn to show how to they tackled iRobot’s business challenge to drive customer awareness and expand the brand's footprint. This team of marketing aces was made up of Ayantek’s own President and CEO Praveen Ramanathan, Blue Wave Marketing’s President and CEO John Moran, and Bluetrain Mobile’s Founder and CEO Steffan Berelowtiz.

This October Ayantek put on an exhilarating competition between some of the marketing industry’s elite heavyweights at MITX's FutureM Conference. Both teams battled for marketing supremacy while they developed SMAC solutions to business problems provided by iRobot and BJ’s Wholesale Club. This week we have put together the highlights from the ‘Marketing Mavericks’ team who tackled BJ’s Wholesale Clubs business challenge. This team of marketing gurus was made up of our own Brett Borgeson AVP of Practice Development, Jan Rimmel a multi-channel marketing consultant with Market Leaders, and Dan Flanigan VP of Products at Percussion.

From a technology perspective, 2013 was an exciting year to be a marketer. We witnessed an explosion in mobile tools, an increased use of targeted social media, powerful analytics tools to draw insights and measure ROI, and Cloud technologies delivering on-demand rich interactive applications.

 

While each of these technologies individually add value, imagine the possibilities in combining all 4 pillars of computing - Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud – what we at Ayantek call The SMAC Stack. In the coming years, organizations are going to increase their investments in the SMAC Stack gaining leverage to increase business productivity and deepen customer engagement. Specifically in 2014, expect to see the following SMAC trends occurring.
